Well, just did a google search and came up with this: -
How Charles Kennedy was 'Hounded' by SNP hate mob
Key points from the article‘When Charles got back to the cottage, he discovered his bins upturned and left at the end of his driveway. It seemed as if someone had gone through them and spread the contents everywhere.
‘There was litter all over the place. Most of it ended up strewn over the field across the road.’
This unedifying act of vandalism — carried out, O’Neill assumes, by someone loyal to Kennedy’s political opponent — wasn’t the only unpleasantness he came home to that morning, either.
You can read the whole article, but I struggle to see how this is confirmed as from SNP supporters.
I really wish this desire to castigate SNP MP's and supporters would relinquish and people could act with more decorum.
Sadly, in all walks of life there are extreme minorities, however we should not tar all with the same brush.:wall:

Naturally I had also googled and I came up with the Mail article. It's not a paper which I would trust without corroboration, which is why I asked the question.
But IF it was true then the people what done it are, I suggest are rather likely to be SNP supporters it not so likely to be SNP MPs.
On the broader issue, the SNP have thrown enough insults both North and South of the border to be well worthy of all the stuff they get thrown at them.Union, not Disunion

Your right about the paper, it's often lauded as the Daily Fail
this is a good example of poor journalism.
I do remember citing to be careful what you read in the media.
As for the rest, as per my previous postIveSeenTheLight wrote: »Sadly, in all walks of life there are extreme minorities, however we should not tar all with the same brush.:wall:

You could just as easily infer that the journalist popped along to Charles Kennedy's house, hoping to get some news, all was quiet so the journalist emptied the bins in order to ensure at least they had something to submit to the editor or find something newsworthy amongst the rubbish.
Just as easily a Drop The Dead Donkey moment as any other option:wall:

There some very unpleasant people in the SNP.

Sadly, the silence from the SNP leadership is deafening. If I don't reply to your post,

As I said earlier, there are extreme minorities from all sides and one we should in reality not give any "air time" to.
The SNP MP's were lauded for their behavior in the House of Commons in the media, only for a Labour MP to denounce the apparent claims.
As I get older, I place less and less value on what journalists report and repeatedly seek to keep an open mind as to what actually may have happened.
The media is fighting a hard battle, trying to sell papers and sensationalising a story is not beneath them.
Of course, if we are repeating their stories, then we in turn help to convince them that this tact has value:wall:

No, but if you're planning on sitting in the same pot as them you need to come up with a better justification for why you are different to them other than just pretending they don't count for some reason.
Again, this is exactly the same as the Brexit thread. You have some people who seem to have relatively measured (although completely wrong IMO) views as to why the UK should leave the EU. Then you have some people who consider them political allies on that subject (the only subject they care about) who are nothing other than racists.
You might not think the Nat bullies count, but they think they count and they see you as one of them. That should make you stop and think about the horse you have hitched your wagon to for a moment at least. And if it doesn't make you stop and think, why doesn't it?0 -

see no evil --- hear no evil --- speak no evil
admit no evil
I don't think I've ever heard an SNP person (*) admit anything.
