You did nothing of the sort.

    I did, post 4144.
It was a response to one of your posts ;)

What are the figures you base that on?

    Please give them.

I'll gladly google them for you later.
The Office For National Statistics have a GVA per head per region breakdown

    Here's a quick image
    UK-GVA-by-region.jpg

Here's an excellent interactive map showing a further breakdown
    http://www.neighbourhood.statistics.gov.uk/HTMLDocs/dvc220/index.html

When you look at the graph at the right hand side of the link, you can break down which areas are contributing more than the UK average.

But lets ignore the facts why don;t you?

    Nope

With current oil prices, London provides far more than her share of spending. The SE puts a little into the pot and the SW pays her way.

Scotland is currently running a deficit twice that of the UK as a whole.

Lucky you all live in a country where Londoners aren't separatists/

Let's see the facts you are so definitive of.

You still don't give the net result. That figure isn't much help.

OK - you won't, so let me help; these are relatively recent figures:

How much does Scotland pay in tax and how much does it spend?

So . . . What would say the balance is today? And on what do you base your repeated assertion that Scotland is a net contributor.
    Union, not Disunion

And round and round and round it goes.......

Can we please have a detailed breakdown of spending? Where it goes exactly and how much? No, of course we can't because the 'unidentified' spending is just that. You cannot say with any certainty that Scotland does not hold her own can you?

If you think back to the referendum debate. Salmond avoided the economy as a topic. Preferring to go for the vote catching NHS topic instead as a diversion.

I disagree, I think Alex was open to debate & questioning about the economy. Often it was others claiming how catastrophic independence would be including comparing us to Pakistan which caused quite a few cringeworthy moments in public debate when better together were asked to explain how they reached that conclusion. They tied themselves up in knots trying to remember how they worked that out and no doubt wanting to throttle whoever the heck decided to go with that on a leaflet!

If you cast your mind back it was all about the £ and the EU, they were the headline grabbers here in Scotland anyway.

How about we split scotland in 2.

All the bravehearts can live free of English rule, in their thriving green economy built on the never ending supply of highly profitable fossil fuels, with amazing benefits and healthcare, with no need to work at all in a completely self sustaining way.

The rest can join the English and be constrained both by the laws of economics and physics.

Hadrians wall can be rebuilt as required to keep each out of the others area.
Left is never right but I always am.

How original! Really, I've never heard that before ;-)...
