Salmond and Sturgeon Want the English Fish for More Fat Subsidies

Both the Conservatives and UKIP are primarily UK oriented parties. In UKIP's case there is possibly a clue in the name!
They're nominally UK oriented, but rarely delegate powers outside England. They're centralisers, and the only thing stopping them being the English equivalent of the SNP is that they rarely seem to do much for the north of England. There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -

That is indeed a real concern, which goes further. The SNP MPs will, as we have learnt, take their instructions from the SNP party and be bound by its dictates, in other words controlled by Sturgeon. Sturgeon, being voted into the Scottish Parliament by proportional representation, owed allegiance only to her SNP voters of some years back, not all her constituents. Also there is something distasteful in her wish to become directly involved (aka meddle) in the affairs of the UK Parliament as an outsider; the occasional State Visit perhaps to pander to her ego but not in the day-to-day work of the House of Commons.Union, not Disunion

It's interesting that both Conservatives and Labour are touting that a vote for SNP is benefiting each others opposition.
Where is the "Better Together" we heard so much about?:wall:

better together is about the whole of the UK being stronger and richer that the individual parts.
having different parties with different views is part of democracy, is that something the SNP find abhorrent and unscottish?0 -

You are living in a Scotland that is not going to suffer economic collapse by this time next year, assuming that is, that the SNP falls in it's attempt to get the UK to keep overspending along the SNP model.
Incidentally, you never answered my question about which part of the VOW was not being honoured.Union, not Disunion

and you are absolutely sure?
Would be interested to know what threat from Russia could be countered by Nukes.
They could well invaded assorted Eastern Bloc countries but the fact that the UK and France have nuclear arms wouldn't really make a blind bit of difference.
You have nukes to stop someone else nuking you or your friends, not to use as a pre-emptive strike to protect Finland.0 -

You just need to read the news to see that politicians that were advocating that we were "better together" are now stating that the Conservatives are betraying the Smith Commission
http://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2015/apr/14/tory-manifesto-pledge-of-english-votes-for-english-laws-is-betrayal-of-scotland
Lib Dems also comment that"The Conservatives want to keep the United Kingdom together but their proposals will potentially destabilise that United Kingdom, by giving more powers for English Conservatives and diminish voting rights for Scottish MPs.
"I think that that is a dangerous game and something that we should reject."
So Labour and Lib Dems, partners with the Conservatives to be "better together" are now condeming the Conservatives policies which they believe will eventually lead to the break up of the union in any case.
no wonder Johann Lamont, Anas Sawaar, Gordon Brown, Alastair Darling all have left / are leaving politics seeing the thing they were fighting for pre referendum, is not now being fulfilled post referendum.
No wonder there is a surge in polling supporting the SNP.:wall:

which bit of the smith commission are they back tracking on?
is it the bit that guarantees the people of scotland more than the people of Yorkshire?0 -
I don't care about "the vow", I just don't want to be governed or represented by thick racists0
