Salmond and Sturgeon Want the English Fish for More Fat Subsidies

there is no evidence that the Tories haven't fully supported NI, Wales and maintained the unfair Barnett formula
Farage was physically attacked in Scotland: uncle Alex didn't condemn the attack.
I'm surprised the papers never reported this. There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -

Nor this much..Mike Shaw, president of Edinburgh University Students' Association's Socialist Society, said on Twitter: "Ukip protest yesterday branded as 'anti-English'. As a proud Englishman, arrested yesterday for protesting, I dispute these claims."
Mr Farage acknowledged the SNP does not appear to have been involved in the protest but he challenged SNP leader Alex Salmond to condemn the action.
What a daftie. Still, he's all over the newspapers today proclaiming the SNP is racist.. I guess it might be good for his somewhat flagging campaign..may as well join in the SNP bashing along with the rest of the parties. Why lose out on the mileage ? :cool:It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?0 -

The SNP, get things like 'Nazi scum' ( Ian Smart 4th April, Twitter, senior Labour activist and regular on Scottish political shows ), he has a whole feed like that. Both Jim Murphy and Ms Dugdale follow him, but have never said anything. Nor has anything appeared in the the newspapers. He is far from alone with such descriptions of the SNP above.. More than a few newspapers are also not shy in their overall 'tone' towards the SNP. Boris Johnson also isn't shy. I can't be bothered repeating them.
It does feel slightly insulting to be thought of as someone who would willingly vote for a party that stood for anything of a scale that could be equated to the Nazi's ! Even here I've personally been called an 'extremist' or holding 'extremist views' and a 'cult member'. You even equate the SNP with Sinn Fein a few posts back. Couple that with the fact that anyone online who posts or comments on anything pro-SNP is immediately relegated to the 'vile cybernat' box... I don't think the figures are that surprising. ( I saw the graph not long ago on an Alex Massie article ).
I can't remember the last time I saw anyone who is pro-Labour or Tory called 'an extremist'. UKIP.. well, mabye there's some of the same going on there re insults I dare say.
How's things looking up Aberdeen way anyway ? SNP wipeout, or is there still hope the odd Tory, Lib Dem or Labour MP might hang in there with all that tactical voting going on ?
Maggie Thatcher famously described the Labour Party as "crypto-Communists".
People held a party when Lady Thatcher died and it is very common for left-wingers to describe Tories as fascists and NAZIs.
The difference with the SNP, Greens and UKIP is that they are extremists and extremists have notoriously thin skins.
So someone calls the party you support a fascist party. Who cares? Oh yeah, you do. Normal people don't care if people disagree with them. Fanatics get angry and physically intimidate opposition leaders and vandalise the offices of their opponents.
The divisions that the SNP are creating as a matter of policy are in danger of destroying the Union and Unionists should call these policies, actions and statements for exactly what they are: attacks on opponents that are deliberately designed to intimidate and cause division because division is the friend of Nationalist racists.0 -
And the winner is ........
I have to admit that Scottish anti-English insults are bigger than English anti-Scottish insults.Union, not Disunion
I have a Right Wing and a Left Wing.

Re defence: The Europeans and the UK to a lesser extent, have been sponging off the Americans for some time, spending insufficiently to be able to take care of ourselves by ourseves and content to let the USA foot the bill.
.
Spending money on defence may be an annoying thing to have to do, but it is a necessary evil at least for the moment.
But I expect a few pounds could spared on sofas for some to hide behind.
Yes we have, but equally we have been helping them fight their wars but get very little help in return.
The shear fact that Obama has been known to call The Falkland Islands by the name the Argentinians use should be enough to tell us that the so-called "special relationship" is purely one way and the americans could not care less about us. We might as well blag off them while we can, might give us a chance to defend the Falklands. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
There are two already, the Conservatives and UKIP.
Both the Conservatives and UKIP are primarily UK oriented parties. In UKIP's case there is possibly a clue in the name!
With the SNP they have Scottish interests at heart primarily; same with the Welsh and NI parties.
If you asked most English voters I think we would argue for more money to be spent in the English regions and a gradual reduction in the subsidy to Scotland. This would have to happen anyway should Scotland become independent.
We might as well start the ball rolling now.0 -
I'm surprised the papers never reported this.
UKIP leader Nigel Farage has described protesters who besieged him in an Edinburgh pub as "fascist scum".
Mr Farage had to be escorted from the Canons' Gait pub in a police van after angry confrontations on Thursday.
He told BBC Scotland the incident was deeply racist and displayed a total hatred of the English.
Mr Farage called on Scottish National Party leader Alex Salmond to condemn the behaviour. The SNP said the UKIP leader had "lost the plot".
and also .........................
First Minister Alex Salmond said that Mr Farage's accusation of a "hate campaign" from the BBC during the radio interview showed it would be a "great mistake" to take "somebody of that mentality with any degree of seriousness".
Mr Salmond added: "We can frankly do without UKIP, who dislike everybody and know absolutely nothing about Scotland."
When asked if he condemned the demonstration against Mr Farage, the first minister said: "If there's been any law-breaking - and that's yet to be established - then obviously we condemn that, as we always do in Scotland, but you've got to get things into context.
"A student demonstration isn't the Dreyfus trial."0 -
The thing about the SNP is that their candidates are so vehemently opposed to other parties, nay, other people, that disagree with them, that they will fundamentally fail the job of an mp to represent all their constituents, rather than just the ones who agree with them. I've had local MPs of all hues over the years but they've all stood up for local issues. These lot would just be nodding dogs for Alex's !!!!-stirring.0

Surely this disregards the SNP's experience as a minority government which SUCCESSFULLY interact with the other parties to reach an agreement during the duration of the parliament:wall:
What we've got here is....... failure to communicate.
