And still vote on English laws.

Well, it's worth a try (thanks to Shakethedisease for suggesting the title. Easily the least worst thing she has ever contributed to this debate).

The Scottish Conservative leader has said the idea that Alex Salmond might be the UK's next deputy prime minister "scares the bejesus out of me".

Cheeks. Fat, fat cheeks. He has also doubtless just spotted a pie. An English pie that belong to an English person and is NOT HIS.

Meanwhile Nicola Sturgeon continues to not understand that she isn't actually in charge of Scotland.

Scotland’s incoming first minister Nicola Sturgeon is calling for Scotland to have a veto over a future referendum on EU membership.

The Scottish people have spoken, they wish to remain part of the UK and it is time for the tail to stop wagging the dog. The salty rump of the SNP must be given the boot by pragmatic Scots later this year.

It will be intolerable if, just after having sensibly voted to maintain the union, Scots vote for a misanthropic local government of agitators whose only mission is to marginalise Scots from their brothers and sisters in the rest of the UK.

The SNP cant be trusted with Scotland's politics, they cant be trusted to tell the truth about Scotland's resources, they can't be trusted to work with rather than against their own national parliament.

And they certainly cant be trusted with Scotland's House Prices and Economy (which is what this entire post is about please God dont move it to Discussion Time).

Deputy prime minister has zero power.

Even if he controls a decisive block of MPs who have no need to vote with their conscious or their electorates wishes as most issues will not affect them.
    I think....

Have the Scots rejected labour then can't say that I blame them.

Hmmm could just as easily apply to Jim Murphy and Scottish Labour actually. Ask Diane Abbott and Boris Johnson what they think.

PS Bravo on the title. It made me lol.. Knew you'd bite.
It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?

Unfortunately they took the 'Fatty' out of the beginning. It was unexpurgated for a couple of days though.

As I understand it, the SNP want's to put "Home Rule" as a policy in their manifesto. They claim that is what was offered in the "Vow" made by Cameron Miliband and Clegg.

Maybe it's time to have an all-UK Referendum on what to do with the Scots.

Of course I do, with hugs and all the fluffy stuff. Excepting the SNP who plot to destroy my country (GB) and care for nowt except Natland.

But the SNP and probably many Scots are full of the idea of screwing as much as they can out of the new Devolution arrangements, that it is on the cusp of becoming (and certainly for the Home Rule extreme) something that affects not just the Scots but also the rest of us. In that case I do think there should be a Referendum of all the UK to decide if we as a nation will go along with the devolution proposal.

If you think of it as a crappy weather allowance which you could access if only you could handle the meteorological drudgery, it begins to seem like a fair trade.
Proudly voted remain. A global union of countries is the only way to commit global capital to the rule of law.
