Looking at the reviews you linked to on Amazon there are more 4 and 5 star reviews than 1,2&3 put together so there are not numerous bad reviews as you said earlier but a small percentage.

You also didn't mention earlier that it was a convertible, I've not seen a convertible yet with a keyboard that can be used for touch typing, having a proper keyboard would stop the device from being as compact and comfortable to hold. The main purpose of convertibles is not to replace a main PC but to enhance the use by allowing you to work on the go and switch to tablet mode when needed.

It sounds like you bought entirely the wrong product for your use.

    Quote from citizens advice:

'When you buy something, consumer law says the item must be fit for purpose.
For example, a toaster must be able to make toast and a washing machine must be able to wash clothes.'

To my mind a computer keyboard you can't type on is no different to washing machine that won't wash?

I'm not an avid typist but i do expect it to work reasonably, many of those 4/5 star reviews are by people who have just received what at first glance is a lovely bit of kit, there is one of the reviews that was edited a few weeks after they received it and it looks as if he would have returned it if he could.. I for one would love to keep it but its just not useable. I still think that a convertible laptop needs a useable slim keyboard, microsoft managed it.

How about a computer keyboard that a lot of people have no problem with?
I.e. all those people who gave 4* and 5* reviews on Amazon.

How does that fit with your 'not fit for purpose' scenario?

It strikes me that you have bought a product that you personally cannot use.

Forgive me for saying this, but isn't that a bit like buying a cycle and then falling off repeatedly?
Nothing wrong with the cycle... just the skills of the rider.

Not sure about the bike analogy, but I bet there are quite a few of those 4/5 star reviewers would feel differently after a couple of months. As far as the reviews online, some say they are from just a bunch of complainers, others that I should have read them before I bought it, somewhat of a contradiction.
