The point is, the parks use it to fill up units that would otherwise be empty, so they're not going to sell them off cheap in school holidays.

Many parks have dates when you can genuinely pay just £9.50 per person with no extras although these will usually be right at the start of the season or right at the end of the season when things are winding down. At the end of September I went away and paid just £38 for 4 people, and thankfully the weather was absolutely fantastic.

Yes there are usually service charges and entertainment passes to pay for, but the entertainment passes are optional, and The Sun guarantees that it will always be cheaper than booking it directly.
