  • So cross with myself, I left my pack lunch at home :( I had £1.40 left on my Girovend card and managed to get a sandwich from the restaurant for £1.04 Cheese and Onion.

Technically not a spend as the money was loaded on my card from last year. But still quite cross with myself for making a silly and stupid error.

  • Afternoon all,

Fairly wet and miserable day here but its the end of my working week today so I'm happy!

Tea tonight is pulled pork and egg fried rice, saved from last weeks tea and frozen.

Little pockets of money keep appearing from here there and everywhere so our little weekend away is getting better by the day! Cannot wait!

I put a wash in the machine ready to come on whilst I'm at work, ready to put in the dryer when I get home. It appears that doing it this way is allowing me to keep on top of things for a change.

Hope everyone who has coughs and colds feels better soon. When I have a cough at night, I have a teaspoon of neat honey just before bed. It stops my tickly throat/chest and allows me to sleep.

But I want a golden goose daddy and I want it right NOW!!!!!

    Yes Verucca dear. :rotfl:
  • Still grey dank and miserable here :( it really does drag the spirit down.

tru sorry to hear about Cassie x

Have to go back to eye clinic in six months, they don't know what is causing the peripheral vision loss, if I get the same answer next time I am going to ask to be referred to Moorfields as my hospital seems to be useless.

Another NSD here, but will need to go shopping tomorrow for fresh stuff and soap-powder.

Just had a lovely lunch, a tortilla with a cheese omelette using left over wensleydale and cranberry from Christmas with some sliced ham, all that oozy cheese was just gawjuss and very filling.

Dinner tonight is mediterranean pork stew, using left over Christmas pork joint from freezer.

The dreaded lurgy is going around in this house as well, lots of Beechams powders used up and all of the cold and flu capsules have gone, so I will add some to the shopping list.

Must go and put the potatoes on we are eating early because DH is going swimming tonight

    BFN x

BB Bedford hospital have a link with Moorfields - I think some of their consultants go there. Mind you, it's probably easier to get to the London hospital than Bedford for you.

Tru I'm so sorry to hear about Cassie. You did all you could for her; I guess it was just her fate to go just then.:(

Mr LW is wfh today, as I have an appointment with the physio-terrorist at 18:00. I hate going, but at least I seem to be getting somewhere with going private (through Mr LW's work health plan). The NHS lot were useless.

Dins tonight is the 2nd half of the Shepherd Spy I made yesterday - I know I shan't feel like cooking when we get in, so I planned it for us to just nuke'n'eat tonight.;)

Bungalow seems 'orribly quiet and empty, as Ronnie's gone home. I have a week to wait for my next guest.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

    Afternoon all!
    Sad about the chook.
Eye sight is so precious. ..i hope you get the best advice soon...my eyes have been looked after in Oxford and i have been very happy with their care.
finding new homes for my furniture (we are relocating) is increasingly frustrating. No interest on 'freebike', or secondhand furniture shop and even the charity warehouse was unwelcoming. I really hate waste and do not want to scrap . But only have another 10 days.
And yet neighbours tell me how their children cannot afford to furnish their homes...
so next tuesday i hire a van and go to the tip...
right must go and borrow a potato masher as mine is packed!! Tonight is shepherds pie before DS5 goes back to college tomorrow. Must try to stick some calories to his ribs!
Cannot shift them from mine....at least there is no chocolate left..i could eat it all day and night.
    Stay safe folks.

    Ive got a confession....

I fell asleep at my desk. :o I was checking my gas and electricity usage online whilst listening to music...Next thing I know ive lost an hour out of my day.

I very often fall asleep at my desk but its usually on a weekend. Ive usually been out and wake up with lipstick all up the side of my face and on my forearm where ive rested my head on my crossed arms in front of me.

    Bahhh!:(

That made me laugh out loud :rotfl: Me, I usually go out with toothpaste down my face.

Everyone keeps saying how cold it is today but I don't think so. Maybe I'm ill...

Bought myself some new slippers this morning and my feet are already roasting :D Picked up a dress for half price in Roman too.

Pasta Bolognaise for dinner tonight and DS2 is gracing us with his presence.

    Have a good day :)

Usually I fall asleep on a Saturday afternoon after shopping. Hubby falls asleep stretched out on the sofas and I come upstairs to go on my pc.... before I know it I'm gone. Full face of makeup smudged and all over my arms. "I dunno how you can sleep like it, you must be so uncomfortable" says hubby when he laughs at the mess ive made of my face.... "oh very easily" I answer.

I am tempted to say "I find it easier to sleep slumped over my desk than sleep with you" but I don't.

    Enjoy your bolegnese :)

  • I have been watching the horrific murderous attack in France.

My condolences to the families especially to those of the young police officer who was shot at close range, the video of which has appeared all over the internet.
