Hi everyone,
I had good news yesterday. The prospective buyers for mum's house raised their offer to an acceptable level so I have accepted it (after consulting my 4 bros of course). Fingers crossed it all goes through quickly, I can now relax at the prospect of DD's wedding costs. We have given them a budget so if they want to exceed that they will need to provide the money themselves.
Not a lot OS going on here apart from trying to use up the freezer again. It seems that no matter how much I take out it remains full, it's like the magic porridge pot. Or maybe it's because I take a packet of mince out and cook something like chilli, bulked out with tomato sauce, veg and beans and so twice the volume is returned to the freezer.
I need to buy some new kitchen scissors because mine have gone missing. I blamed DH (it usually is him) but then remembered I used them to cut holly before Christmas so I think I my have left them outside somewhere. I'm not telling DH though, I'd never hear the end of it.0 -
Morming People,
I have to go the JobCentre later, not sure why. It's not to sign-on, i've only been registered there a couple of months so it's not as if i'm long term. But a fella phoned on Monday to say could we arrange a time to come in and see him.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,

Morning all
Not much happening today. Will phone the garage to see if my handbrake is fixed and then we are going out to lunch as we have a C*fe Rou** clubcard reward voucher to spend there before it goes out of date on Friday. No major meal to cook today then!
Must phone up and see if I can reclaim the breakdown costs for my car as well. It was £40 to get it towed in.
Have a good day y'all0 -
Morning all! Looks like we may see some sunshine here today, which will make a nice change! Need to take DS16 for his blood test in a bit, will also take DH's suit to dry cleaners, fill up with diesel and drop bags off at the charity shop. Bags all organised and in my car boot. Washing in the machine.
DH and the boys did a great job taking all the xmas decorations down last night, still lots of boxes waiting to go to the garage but I can live with that until this evening. Need to hoover through downstairs. Will make some soup for lunch and chicken fajitas for dinner.0 -
Morning, much better night last night, OH woke me around midnight coughing but soon settled down again. Did not want to get up this morning though. My tiredness is getting progressively worse, I am heading for another fibro flare up. Can do without it.........
No rain or frost this morning, not sure how cold it is outside, will find out later, we are expecting a delivery and I have a load of laundry to see to. We also need to go to the library to take back some books.0 -
Good Morning everyone, grey sky and cooler today but not wet at the moment. It sounds as if we're all going to get a couple of days 'weather' in the near future so I'm heading for the shops to get in a few basic things like plain flour, dried milk and potatoes. I always think if I've got in the basic ingredients to make things and the weather is bad all I have to do outside is walk the Lurcha, not drag home heavy bags of shopping so much better!
Zebra had a lovely day at nursery and did a lot of splashing in the water play area and apparently a lot of eating too ( he loves his food, bless him!) and came out happy, his Mum too had a good day and enjoyed being back with her colleagues and even saw some patients too so was glad to be back and doing the job she trained so hard for. She was tired last night though, so was Zebra, apparently his Daddy enjoyed the one to one time with him before Mum got home, so all is well.
Have yourselves a good day everyone, Lyn xxx.0 -
Morning all,
Sunny and cold here today.
Got rubbish men coming this morning. New furniture arriving too.
I have DGS this morning, as mum has to go on a course for her new job.
Had a good day yesterday. Went sales shopping with a friend. Got quite a few pressies for the present box.

Morning all,
wet and raining here and I need to go down the garden at some point. I guess i'll wait for a break in the rain.
Its 'Youngests' 19th birthday today and it doesn't seem long since I gave birth to him all those years ago. One of my most vivid memories of his birth was waiting to bath him before they let me out of hospital with him. As I waited to bath him I held him and nuzzled into the back of his neck. I'd never done it with the others but I wanted to smell him as he was. I knew he was going to be my last and I would never get the experience again.
I sent him a number of messages earlier this morning.
"its a bit rough that you've got to work on your birthday" I said.
"I wouldn't have it any other way Mom" he replied.
A day in the house for me today. Usual chores, usual day.
Tru so sorry to hear about Cassie chick. So sad.
Onwards and forwards,

Good morning,
Chucking it down here, got wet & muddy on our dog walk. I met another dog owner in the fields and was walking round with him,his dog and ours get on well and it gives them a good run.We were chatting when his feet slithered from under him on a bit of a grassy slope and he crashed to the ground. He's about 6'6 and big build, certainly took the wind out of him and he didnt get up for a bit ,then when he tried he couldn't get purchase with his wellies in the mud. I was thinking panicky thoughts like there's no way my 5' 2" self could drag him up  and how do I describe which field we are in if I have to ring an ambulance.Thankfully he managed it and said he thought he was ok but I saw him keep flexing his hand and shoulder on the way back so hope he's alright as he retired through ill health a couple of years ago.
I was going to go on the bus to the nearest retail park to get my friend a birthday present. It's not till the end of the month but I'm seeing her on Friday and i don't think she'll be visiting again before her birthday. Its so wet though, might see if I can get a lift off DH later or tomorrow. He and DS2 are at a funeral later so might get chance then.Probably just tidy up this morning- looks like a whirlwind passed through after minding DGS yesterday and DGD coming for tea
tru Sorry about Cassie
I think I put weight on too over Xmas, not so much chocolate but DH and I have nearly polished the Xmas cake off between us.OS wise eating from the freezer as much as poss, hardly wasted anything over the hols really.Better go and fish something out for tonight.
Hope you all have a good day x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -
