Hermes how long does pickup courier keep parcel

Was selling 2 PS3 games on ebay, I shipped the first last Tuesday and its still at "Collected by the courier"

Just sold the 2nd but I think I will be taking a loss and shipping with a proper courier.

Is it normal for collection driver to keep parcel for 7 days?

No, chase them up via Social Media if you use it, or use the Live Chat on their website.

depends on what service you chose and dont forget weekends dont count unless you paid for a sat. delivery.
so if say you have it collected on a Friday PM, and chose their 3+ days service then it can sit for a week, so earliest it would be delivered would be the wednesday, so thats 5 days as sat and sun dont count

Hermes work Saturdays both for collections and deliveries. They don't charge extra for Saturdays.

well it should not be. i know the status only changes when it gets logged at the various points.
if you used a service like P2G then contact them and ask them to find out whats happened or if you used courier direct then you need to contact them

I have 2 items in my shipments section dating back from July, still 'awaiting collection' apparently, and 1 'en route to delivery courier' - all 3 have been delivered so maybe the system has not been updated regarding your item?

It's often the system that's not updated.

I've had parcels saying collected by courier, then the next update is signature received from customer 3-4 days later.

I have contacted My Hermes previously about tracking problems. I have three parcels that have been out for delivery for the last six months. I have asked them if they can remove these but apparently it is an IT issue they are aware of.

The items above have been delivered but I am not sure what would happen if there had been a dispute.

If the buyer has not been in touch then I would assume it has been delivered. My courier can be very slow with passing on to depot but even she only takes 2 days.

Buyer hasnt contacted me, but no feedback given either.

Obviously if they contact me I will put the heat on hermes, but if nothing happens soon I will compensate with full refund, my fault for using hermes not the buyer.

Ive had packages collected on Friday only for them to be delivered first thing Tuesday, and that was with the 3/5 economy service.
i also know my Hermes driver was working Sundays as well in the run up to christmas. Picking up and delivering.

I would chase up Hermes if your worried but would hold off in regards to refunds unless you get anything from the buyer.
