DFS Sofa Cancellation Rights 2015 Help?

I would suggest you transfer the debt over to this person as you are going to be paying the monthly DD for the next 4 years. Do you trust them to pay it?
Why did the original person decide they no longer want it? I think they are the person you should be most angry with as you agreed to pay for the sofa for them (I assume due to credit issues with them) and then they have changed their mind a day later!0 -
you were trusting someone with poor credit to pay you £50 per month for 4 years to pay for this sofa?
As they just changed their mind it is them that has caused you hassle , not DFS.
Is the person who is now buying it going to pay you the £50 per month to pay the finance? How will you ensure that they do and not leave you with no sofa and an outstanding credit agreement?
They may change their mind as well.0 -
Hi
Id cancelled the 4 years interest free with Ikano bank (advice from citizen advice when i was initially trying to cancel the entire order)
Person taking the sofa is paying in cash upon delivery.
True, i am angry at friend for cancelling on me.Im also angry with DFS as they had advised if i provide a letter confirming im being made redundant it would be cancelled.Once advised a hand written letter wasn't acceptable(which is fair enough) i immediately said i would be able to get a printed/paper headed letter if needs be etc DFS choose to ignore that, didn't even give me a chance to provide the paper headed letter. They CHANGED things by saying they were not able to cancel the order.ie i was back to square one.So i im annoyed at them too.(principal)Also im VERY suspicious as the sofa is being delivered 1 month early.0
