What are good jobs for a very antisocial/reclusive person?

I would think that rather than finding a job that reinforces their antisocial/reclusive behaviour they should seek help to overcome whatever is causing this so that they become a better functioning member of society, and as a bonus, able to do a greater range of jobs.
from a neurotypical point of view that may seem easy ...
and as for the bit i have bolded ... wow, just wow, i don't trust myself to reply.0 -
archivist or someone working in document storage0

I'm only allowed to thank once - so this is the written thanks to WeAreGhosts.
Hope Roxy's friend finds one, although I think it will be a challenge, but we all find our way eventually!0 -

No idea what neurotypical means, feel free to explain.
And I would indeed like to see your response to the bolded section, do you currently think that the person under discussion is at this time likely to be functioning well in the society that they are part of? Or do you think that such people should be forced to live in modern-day equivalents of leper colonies, out of sight, out of mind?0 -
Lorry or van driver0

Archivist? No, no, no. Archivists, like librarians, do not sit in a corner with dusty bits of parchment/books. They deal with the public, and management and need excellent people skills.
Hermit might be a better choice. Nature warden on a remote island?0 -
i'm looking for the same thing (but without any real qualifications) - order processing sounds good to me, but not sure i'd qualify.
Hope the ideas keep coming for both your friend and I0 -

i definitely don't think people should be in "modern-day equivalents of leper colonies" - although somewhere in Yorkshire there is a village community of people with learning disabilities, here http://www.cvt.org.uk/botton-village
certainly not a modern day leper colony. things have moved on since then, and people actually LIKE this sort of thing.
my desperation surrounded the notion that a person who does not want to involve themselves in society [or cannot, by way of disability] is seen, in your view, as a lesser person in society.
i have a work from home job, i do not mix with people, there are many like me and the OPs friend who choose this for themselves. i find it upsetting that people would think that we are lesser members of society because of it. i contribute to society in small, somewhat invisible ways.0 -
(And the converse of neurotypical is neurodiversity

I think lots of factory jobs ca be good for reclusive people? too loud to talk with people and you just do your task over and over for 8 hours until your shift is over0
