Is that a one way entrance. Odd they've designed it in a way that forces front passengers to alight onto the road rather than the pavement.

    Yeah its one way.

100% my fault? Can you give reasons for your decision.

I accept its my fault if the space is so narrow that passing drivers cant drive with doors opening but it wasn't that narrow and door width apart space can be given otherwise there's a huge design flaw in that area in my opinion.

When I drop folk off there (If I don't drop them outside for them to finish the journey on foot) I get out of the car and go to the passenger side, to stop passing traffic.

I would say the passengers fault... they obviously didn't check for oncoming traffic before opening the door.

Yep, that's the drop off area in New St station, the passenger should have checked it's clear to exit the vehicle, and cars can't really whizz along there.

Whizz along in a 5mph zone, I know the passing driver was going fast because the collision was quick and shocking. If it was less 5mph or less then my door would not wedge into my passenger wing.

I would also admit liability if I parked outside bay lines but I didn't. I cannot accept 100% liability for this accident.

A collision at 5mph would be easily sufficient to push a car door all the way over onto the wing.

    At best 50/50.

    What have your insurer said?

It is up to the person opening the door to make sure that it is safe to do so.

It would actually, it's not just speed it's the mass of the vehicle, I know there well and it's not as narrow as you are trying to imply, you can tell by the position of the parked car and overhead lighting. I don't recall it listed as 5mph but can check tomorrow as I walk through there nearly every working day. Sadly some passengers (often female) open the door with impunity, only your insurance assesors will decide, but I fear this will go against your policy :(

The OP hasn't implied that it's a narrow road, in fact the opposite.
