Similarly to the X-Factor mattress one, I spotted a few in the Dailies thread earlier today, Signed pillows by the people on Gogglebox
Oh, and those bloomin NibNibs ... there seems to be a comp for them on every page!0 -
More a flash of annoyance rather than cringe, but when (pretty much) every single family holiday comp assumes that every family consists of 2 adults and 2 children.0

Those are making me crazy too - and I don't even know what a NibNib is - just the name makes me know I don't want one! :rotfl:0 -
Oh and YY to all of the above - I reserve a special kind of horror for a makeover or personal shopper! And those nice weekend away comps - until you find out you get a personal guided tour of some obscure art exhibition - Nooooooooooooooooooooo! I like an art exhibition as much as the next man/woman but not with a personal guide!0

Me too!:eek::eek: I never thought you had to pay to enter a marathon  Maybe it is because I have never ran one!:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea0 -

I won a NibNibs comp last year - they aren't bad but I needed to buy some dips to eat them with! I wouldn't enter to win them again and probably wouldn't buy them.:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea0 -
Win a weekend away to 'insert city/town'. Then discover its one night! One night is not a weekend.
Seeing holiday to wherever and no flights included. Not so bad for Europe but pricey if further afield.
Big companies that offer piddling prizes.Heinz always comes to mind. Win a bottle of sauce..
Win this piece of beautiful jewellery...picture shows something that looks like it'll fall apart if you touch it or looks like it fell out of a cracker!
Win this item of clothing - yeah if you're a +size you can forget it.Thanks to those that post the comps!!

Sometimes I see comps to win eg an expensive top of the range camera and meet and greet some famous person? I don't usually enter these but often wonder if I entered and won, would it be cheeky to ask for the expensive top of the range camera and turn down the meet and greet? Anyone know? I am not bothered about meeting and greeting a famous person but I would really like a new camera!:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea0

Yes, agree about the 'luxury' 3 star holidays, even worse when they call them VIP trips! I'm more than happy to win a 3 star holiday with cheapo flights and have had a brilliant time on them but lets not pretend they are luxury/exclusive/VIP.
Nibnibs have passed me by completely!0 -
