EDIT None in stock near me!
LOOKS LIKE ITS NATIONWIDE out of stock
The .97 price point is pcworld- currys marker that the item is discontinued so almost no stock - so have to hunt high and low and you might get an in-store demo unit0 -
Here's a HP from Ebuyer £200 delivered, only downside is no DVD drive.

I was going to suggest the HP as above, and it does have a DVD drive in fact.
I recently got my son the HP 255 G2 which as far as I can see is identical apart from the software.
Also with the AMD A4-5000 processor and although its clock is relatively slow it seems to use the 4 cores well and the onboard Radeon graphics processor is semi decent in this price range helps. Its Passmark score is nearly double that of the Celeron N2840 used in the op's first suggested laptop.
Power consumption is low and it runs quite cool and for many hours. Plays less demanding games like Minecraft and Warcraft without flaw.
The AMD E1-6010 processor in the Lenovo sounds pretty dire at any price, I wouldn't like to use it.0 -
Cheers I have ordered the ebuyer one, hopefully all good. Thanks0

don't expect a bolt of lightening at this price, especially as its running Windows 8.1 which unfortunately is unavoidable these days, but the build quality isn't bad for the money my 11 year old thinks its more expensive than it was..
I actually wiped mine and put Windows 7 on but its not a straight forward job. An 11 year old will probably pick up Windows 8.1 in about 3 minutes as they take it in their stride.0
