Halifax Clarity Credit Card - Cash Withdrawal limit??

Hi guys,
I am planning to use my Halifax Clarity Credit card for my trip abroad next week. I haven't used a credit card abroad before but was looking to withdraw cash at the ATMs once I get there rather than try and carry cash with me.
Does anyone know if there is a daily limit like debit cards to how much cash I can withdraw from this card at a cash machine? I am looking to withdraw around £2000?
Thanks in advance!

c£500 a day, restricted to half your credit limit overall.
I spent a couple of weeks in the USA recently and used my card for a $300 ATM withdrawal at the start of the trip, repaid it via Faster Payment to minimise interest and never needed another cash withdrawal. Purchases did the job.0 -

Don't forget that you have to advise them of where you are travelling to if you plan to use the card abroad otherwise the card could be blocked.
They have a 24 hour service for this and is automated if you are just visiting one country. They usually ask for around 7 days notice so do it asap.0 -
Letting them know can't hurt but to be honest I have never bothered. I've used my Clarity all over the world and never had a problem. On the other hand I have had a HSBC card blocked and I had told them in advance.0

Halifax don't need to be notified about travel plans.0

I've never told them and never had a problem. But I've had problems with a Barclaycard when I HAVE told them I was travelling!travelover0

If you are planning to use your debit or credit card abroad, let us know before you travel either in branch or by calling.
It would help if they had an online form as other banks do. I often travel at short notice for work so calling up my bank to tell them I'm leaving the country is usually the last thing on my mind.
Clarity is marketed as a specialist travel card so they must expect a high proportion of their usage to be overseas. I don't think I have ever used mine in the UK as I use a cash back card here.0 -
1st time i used mine was i brussels and it didnt work so had to ring up the UK & was ok to use in 5mins withdrawing €300 , 2nd time i used in the US and worked fine withdrawing $500"If I know I'm going crazy, I must not be insane"0

Note the difference between the word "need" and what you're implying...0
