That's only £113. Is it absolutely possible? Yes, sure - but it's a fairly tight budget. Depends on what kind of holiday you're after, and if you're willing and able to go shoestring. That said, I stayed in Krakow for 4 nights and spent around £150 after paying for Auschwitz tour, and buying a 72-hour Krakow tourist card (a good deal - includes free museums and free public transport). But ate out every night and had a few pints every day in and around Rynek Glowny :)

(We stayed in a self-catering apartment with a kitchen, so stocked up on breakfast/lunch supplies at Carrefour - I'm not big on going out for breakfast or lunch, but love going out for evening meals).

It depends on what you are planning on doing and how much beer/vodka you drink ;)

625 Zloty is about £110 which is not a fortune for 5 days but it is just manageable as food and local transport are very cheap and there is a lot of sightseeing you can do for free. I would take some extra Sterling as a backup but only change it if you need to.

I spent 3 nights in Krakow a few months ago and loved it.

The Krakow card will cover some of your tourist needs - and all of your transportation costs (I think it was the equivalent for £12 for the 72hrs - be aware that many museums don't open on Mondays - but you can still use the transport option...Krakow is a good walking city, though).

If you want to do Auschwitz, take another few quid. Tours aren't expensive (mine was £20 - and absolutely brilliant - via Escape2Poland, but I booked and paid for it in advance in the UK) - but it'd eat into your £113 budget.

900 sounds better! Krakow is fab, enjoy :)

Why not get a halifax clarity card and use an ATM.

I have been to Krakow twice, there is an ATM at the airport if you are worried about not having cash as soon as you get there

Schindlers factory is walkable from almost any hotel and costs about £3

A 24 hour tram ticket is about £3

Unless you are going to do a lot of museums the tourist card may not be worth it

thanks photome took a look at both and they are local to the hotel i am staying at, the transfers to and from have been sorted £14 return which i think isn't bad, so the 625 zloty's is for everything else, after transfers and hotel.

I can't remember the route number but there is a direct bus from the airport to the main railway station for 4 or 5 Zly - so less than a pound.

The city centre is really small and well laid out so it's easy to explore on foot without getting lost.
