  • i finished friday night - do i have til sunday night to sign on over the web? or will delaying cost me?

If you have 2 continous years of full stamp then you should qualify for contributions based JSA which lasts for 6 months. Not means tested so savings not a concern.

How much the job centre pushes you on this I don't know.

    - The 7 waiting days only start from the day you make the claim, so waiting 7 days and then claiming will not shorten that time scale at all.

i understand that... just wondered if i could leave it til tomorrow

If you leave it till tomorrow, you will probably lose a day Including 7 waiting days, so you might start to get benefit from next Sunday.

Why not do it today. It should only take about 30 mins most?
