Should I insist cats are rehomed ?

I would be worried about the fact the cats are vomiting so much. This is a definite sign of ill-health, or of stomach irritation.
Two cats need 2 plus 1 litter trays - ie three trays in total. These need to be scooped out every day.
No one can advise you on your relationship. However, it sounds to me that your problem is with the man, not the cats. The cats need good food in clean bowls and somewhere clean and acceptable to them to poop. If you can provide this but are unwilling to do so, then rehome the cats. Don't expect someone else to be willing to do what you are not.0 -
Yes rehome the cats and him."'Cause it's a bittersweet symphony, this life

Its likely the poor cats are vomiting due to eating food that's gone off if there are old cans and dirty dishes laying about
Is it possible to put in a cat flap so you don't have to worry about the litter tray ?. If they have fresh food and can go out to pee so you don't have to deal with mess then keep them and rehome your husband

I have a Chronic illness and on immunosuppressants which is another reason I shouldn't be cleaning up after them as at huge risk of infection
Sorry but that is just not true
There are fairly simple steps that can be taken if you want to - rubber or latex gloves, washing hands thoroughly with an anti-bacterial wash after handling, using anti-bacterial gels & sprays etc
I do know what I'm talking about - I have 2 auto-immune diseases and take a cocktail of drugs to try to control them incl immunosuppressants, chemo drugs & TNF inhibitor drugs (which are particularly nasty) - my immunity is severely compromised & TBH the pets are the least of my worries.
You are way more at risk from everyday life with a severely compromised immune system - things like door handles, money, chip & pin machines (whether at checkouts or cash machines or in banks) trolleys etc etc .... the list really is endless and those are the things that are pretty impossible to do much about (apart from carry an anti-bacterial spray & spray everything before you use it)
If you're splitting up anyway, then let your husband take his cats - whilst it might not be ideal as others have said it sure beats being ptsGrocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

Can you insist he rehomes the cats?
If he ignores your asking him to clean the place up will he listen you about rehoming the cats.0
