If all the the above checks that you have already done are ok

then it might be a possible breather valve thats split, bent or come loose

have a look under the bonnet to see if you can spot any loose pipes if not
try to get in on a diagnostic machine see what that comes up with

If you have ran a diagnostics test on it and no fault codes were there then that's suggests that it's probably mechanical and not electrical, otherwise the codes would have been stored in the ecu's memory until manually cleared via the diagnostic computer

has a similar issue with mates focus when you put floored it hardly any power after posting on the ford forums, was directed to the inter cooler hose that had a split in it replaced that no problems, its back to normal now

I can understand you point, this may be a bit long winded but if you have say aa or rac cover including home start then you could always call them out to have a tinker with it after all you are paying them and if your policy is up for renewal all the more so

I did this when money was tight and i didnt want to get ripped off by garages , so i called rac out after a mile a half from home lol as my alfa 147 was having some problems with power or lack of it, rac bloke came out pin pointed the fault and i went to buy the parts got them fitted from the garage all for around £30 i think

Its been a while and ive slept since then lol

but try that if you dont find a solution your self

When did you last put fuel in in relation to the problem and did you keep the receipt.
Make sure you did not put the wrong fuel in first.
