    Good Morning,

Lovely to have a lay in again, I haven't rested like this all year, so really enjoying having the time off, before going back to work on Monday.

Today Daddy Rivett and I are going to go out for a stroll to the banks to pay in Christmas cheques and also go to the sorting office to get a parcel.

Hello to Tru and thank you for the welcome, I haven't been here for a while now, probably about 4 years ago when I was AngelSELondon. I'm married now and after getting in Debt have paid it off and am back on the OS wagon. The last time I was a contributor to these boards Pinky was here, I was so sad to hear that she has passed on.

Snoozer, I know the feeling for work looming on Monday, but enjoy the next three days off.

nmlc I need to work on a meal planner for next week too, you guys have inspired me.

camelot1001 enjoy your day, where are you? is it warmer than here in the UK?

lonewhitewolf good luck with the house hunting and the diet, sounds like you and me are two of a kind at present one of our dogs, Buster has also had a few cysts appear over the Christmas. I hope you are able to get the jumper from the charity shop.

Brambleberry hope your roof is still on.

I'm off to get showered and make some warm porridge and a hot pot of coffee. Enjoy your day everyone, I'll pop back later. xx

    Morning all,

DH was up and out early for his 8am dentist appointment, and is now upstairs modeling (airfix not catwalk).

I am writing out a mealplan and shopping list, all we really need is bread and milk, a few spuds and DS2,s lunchbox fillers, so only taking cash so i,m not tempted. The only non food thing I want to buy is the soup mugs on offer in Ald! For my work lunches.

Soup mix was soaking overnight, will bung that in the SC with lamb bone and LO veg for soup tonight, will make some HM bread to go with it.

  • Good Morning everyone, it's a lovely sunny day here with a nice little breeze blowing so a good drying day. The machine is nearly finished which gives me a good long time with washing out until it starts to get dark. He Who Knows took DD home yesterday and Docky and I have just been for a lovely long walk down by the river and through the lanes and tracks which was very nice too. I'm pleased to get life back to normal now, nice to see the shops open and people going about their daily lives again. I love christmas but don't like the extended holiday we seem to have grown used to now. I like the feel of christmas eve, christmas day and boxing day but after that I yearn for normality and life as we know it.

Expecting DH back this evening so I've got a day and am going to sort the upstairs rooms as they have all been used with the family coming to stay for various bits of the holiday. Nice to get everything tidy again and the beds ready to make up for their next visits. My Zebra is going to be 1 year old on the 29th of this month, I can't believe how quickly this first year has flown by, he really is the delight of my life!!!

Have yourselves a nice day everyone, Lyn xxx.
  • Hi all, new year and a new start for me, hope it's ok to join in here as you all seem so friendly! Have big plans for getting my house straighter and decluttered this year, it's mainly all such a mess but I have got to start somewhere and not just get overwhelmed by it all.. Off out with the dog for a nice walk shortly and then planning to tackle the radiator shelf in the hall. Also need to meal plan today, I had veg and meat boxes delivered from Able and Cole yesterday so have most that I need for the week just got to plan what and when, beef casserole today I think. Have a good day everyone.
  • Morning all

WM has been on & the wet stuff's on the maiden, it's windy & sunny here but the grass is very wet and as the washing is all pants & socks it takes ages to hang out.

We have visitors this evening for drinks & nibbles so I popped out to buy some grapes to go with the cheese board, I'm making chocolate brownies too & a banana loaf that I will take to DD's tomorrow.

I'm on the border of the rainbow blanket, as soon as it's finished I'm starting another identical one.

I need to vacuum downstairs today & tomorrow I'm determined to start on hubby's study it's rammed in there & I'm sure most of it is rubbish, we also have our 7 yea old DGD visiting tomorrow.

    Have a good day everyone.

    Hugs Hester

  • It was very windy here last night as well, no damage though thankfully. Still breezy so the washing (mainly bedding) is on the line blowing away :D

Still have loads of food in so I don't need to get any shopping until Thursday when all I will need is eggs and milk :D

Just going over to the nursery to pick up some manure for the garden and I will not be buying anything else.

DH is taking a load of stuff up to the tip when we get back and I will take all the decs and the tree down and we can get back to normal.

    Right time to leave

    Morning all,

Welcome to all the new people.

Oh dear! i was reading all the posts thinking yes, I will comment on that, and by the time I come to post my mind is totally blank!

So apologies for no personals. When I am more organised after the holiday I will read with a notepad and pencil by me to act as a prompter.

I have a pile of washing to do today and I will either put on the lineor the indoor airers.

Other plans for today are to finish tidying up the bedrooms and then we can concentrate on downstairs.

Been waking up at silly hours during the night fretting about our forthcoming move and will we be ready in time. During the day I am so busy there are no worries, but at night!

Must get up and put a brunch on for hubby and me. Then time to set to work on operation house.

    Take care all.

  • Not a good start to the new year for us, OH had a dizzy yesterday afternoon ad I was still awake at 3.30am. Eventually fell into a deep sleep and feel carp this morning.

Just gone to print something and the prnter is 'out of black ink' if this is how 2015 is going to be think I will just retire to bed for the whole year!!

More clearing out to do, need to get the photograph albums from the attic and sort through the photos we want to scan and keep, there are about 1000+ up there all in albums. I also need to go through OH's shirts, he retired 17 years ago and still has some of his work shirts in his bit of the wardrobe. I am sure some of them can go the the CS. I went through my things and I have one or teo contributions to make as well. Things I have not worn for well over 12 months and am really not likely to wear again.

Soup for lunch, I defrosted some stock when I was doing the freezer audit and made some soup, enough for today and tomorrow I think. Still eating up biscuits etc given to us for Christmas, so no cake till they have gone.

Morning all (well it is just about).

Lovely sunny day here. It looks quite warm but ive yet to venture out.

Slept well. Only woke up once but I must have lay awkwardly as ive pulled a muscle in my neck.

Busy this morning doing bits and pieces. Have a list of jobs a mile long for this afternoon.

'Youngest' has gone for a 2 hour driving lesson and hubby has gone to the tip.

I'm so looking forward to a bit of normality.

    Onwards and forwards,

    have a great day all.
