Thanks takingcontrolatlast - had a busy old week - my DD2 passed her driving test yesterday! Which is amazing! 1st time too and after lots of nervousness and panic over driving! So proud of her! She has her sisters car for a few weeks while she Is in Africa then she will be looking to get her own car - the cost of insurance is seriously shocking for new drivers!!!

Joined a choir tonight!!! My 2 friends who have just had to retire both wanted to go and I went with one of them tonight for the first time- loved it!!! then home and baked a cake for Saturdays bake off in work!!! so not a NSD as had buy a few ingredients I didn't have!!! DD3 is going to decorate it tomorrow

Just an All Black truckload more Well Done!s, judi.

Extra one on board for dd 2 - it's that golden one with the bow, right on top. It's quite something to get through first time in albion.
EnZed has changed too, but in &'s day, licence was at 15, after a few years from age 10 if you had to help driving tractor on farm etc.

Choir is wonderful. I think it may do more for you than you can guess atm.

Thanks &, Bob and Beannie - it has made such a difference to DD - she doesn't have to leave for work 2 hours before her shift starts and is home early! She even gave me a lift to a night out on Friday as I was running late!

Been so busy over the last week - and so tired as a result! Choir was great though!!!

Went out with friends on Friday - to celebrate masters! Too much wine and a late night as we ended up back at a friends chatting till the wee small hours! Not a great idea as was in work for 9.30 for our open day - which appeared to be a great success! Its not easy to do an open day at a hospice - people don't really want to come to us unless they have to and we have to respectful of the patients and families who are with us at the time of the event!

But we had a bake off that attracted over 30 plus entries from staff and volunteers (I won runner up with a cake baked at midnight on Thurs and decorated by DD3) followed by the choir I have joined singing - I even got to join in with bits I knew! Some of the patients came to listen in beds and wheelchairs and one said to me that the staff had so much positivity that it rubs off on patients and the place is about life! It made me cry with pride!!! No doubts any more about whether I should be applying for the other job!!!

Was so tired last night that we got take away - I haven't been shopping this week either! so It has been a bit of a spendy week! Need to sort myself out!!!!

So much to do today!!! But another coffee first!!!!

'I haven't been shopping this week either!' - and no-one fell off the edge of world [said with smiles and hug]

    And if '
Need to sort myself out!!!! ' potters along on slo-mo, NON FRENETIC, planet earth and planet judi will still keep turning in their established orbits.

While weather's nice during these months>March, any moment of sun and blue and high sky is to be prized. Good hedgerow days and mushroom time too.

Be kind to yourself today judi, pretty please.

Well after a few coffees to get me going I managed to get quite a bit done! 2 loads of Washing done and hung out, cleaned living room, kitchen, hall and stairs - even pulled couch apart and cleaned all the cushions, mopped through, cleaned the bathroom and tried to fix the dryer - I don't use it much these days but its handy to have working in the winter - not sure I have managed as it still seems to be switching itself off! Will look up the error online and see if I can get any pointers!

Went shopping at 3.30 just in time to fly round before closing time!!! Seems like a good way to shop as I didn't get side tracked and tempted to browse and spend - just fly in get what I need and fly out!!! So shopping cost kept down! BUT then was persuaded to go into the Range by DD3! Bad mistake!!! ended up with a new microwave!!! reduced from £120 to £60 and its red to match my kettle! but badly needed - old one had died a few weeks ago! Lots of lovely craft bits but managed to not buy anything else except a camper van picture for the spare room for a fiver - to make my American friend feel at home when she visits - she has a camper van.

Home to lovely home made veggie soup! Love these autumn evenings! Still not got heating on though - snuggling under blankets on the couch with a candle that my DD1 gave me before she went to Africa lit, giving clean living room a warm glow and lovely vanilla fragrance! Feeling chilled and content tonight
