Bless him I bet he regrets his sensible decision now! Went to order computer on line and delivery is free but it takes up to5 days! I refused point blank to pay £14 for next day delivery! so he will be lucky to get it set up before he goes to cadet camp at the weekend! also he left £160 of his birthday money at his dads by accident - his dad is refusing to drop it off (despite almost passing my house to get to work every day!) saying he told him to be organised and he wasn't going to be running around after him if DS forgot anything when I picked him up - so I have lent him the money - his dad said I am welcome to go pick it up if I want to run round after him! (about a 45 min round trip)!!! I think he is being pig headed - but he says its the principle! and DS should be more organised!!! I asked him to transfer it electronically but he says he doesn't have the money in the bank and can't get to the bank until Friday! all seems such a big drama - my cynical side is wondering if he doesn't actually have the cash anymore!

Agree with you it all seems rather overdone.
Most likely you are right & cash is gone.

Well what a day!!! Work was busy but home 5.30 ish - kids were hyper though. So much so that I suggested that DS go out to play for a while after dinner so off he went on his scooter - 5 min later lady from down the road knocks the door - DS had come off his scooter with a bang and hurt his arm and face!! 3 hours in A&E later and DS has a fractured scaphoid in his wrist! He's ok but sore - and most upset that cadet camp is now off the agenda!!! I feel quite sorry for him as he has been looking forward to it since he joined cadets almost a year ago!!! to top it all the hospital has put its car parking charges up to £3.20 from £2.50 today!!!

Well no further forward with the birthday money - DS said he couldn't get it when I picked him up as his dads partner had it in her bag and she was out!!! But dad still won't drop it off After last nights unexpected A&E trip I haven't had time (or the inclination) to go and get it! I have a horrible feeling I am going to struggle to get it back from him!

Tired today - but a NSD which is a first for a while! DS seems fine with his arm although DD2 and him had an almighty fall out this morning and DD2 has gone off in a strop! I had nearly 30 text from DD2 while in work today - which I could do without!!!! all ranting about how DD3 and DS wont do what she says! Ah well it will soon be September and everyone will be back at school (I just need to keep telling myself that!:rotfl:)

3 day week for me though this week so tomorrow Is my last day!!!! Thursday is the second bug spray but definitely seems to have done the trick! and uniform shopping which I am really not looking forward to!!!! (might need to consider a re mortgage as I've been on DD3 new school website and she needs so much and none of it can be from As*a!!!)

Its crazy - it has to be a set school skirt (not available anywhere except uniform shop) specific blazer (cant use a generic one and add the badge) PE kit - indoor and outdoor with embroidery in certain places with names etc (all additional cost!) even swim suit is specific!!! just to be clear it is a normal comprehensive school!! DS's school specifically changed uniform 2 years ago - to a much cheaper and less complicated one (and were happy for kids to wear old one til it was outgrown) and a lot can be bought in normal shops (only blazer, tie and PE kit have to be bought from school - but not for profit so not expensive!) and his is a grammar school! and don't even talk to me about shoes!!! DD3 has size 7 feet - she's 11! cheap shoes last a week!!!
