Thanks Magician - I might have a look at that next month - I don't want anything faddy or anything to do with starving yourself, meal replacements and calorie counting! I just want to learn to make good choices and eat for health if that makes sense? Like money, I want to learn how to make diet work for me instead of battling it!0

Anyway forgot to report a NSD today :j- haven't had any for a week so back on track today and tomorrow before my spendy few days away! Hair cut on Wed so have to spend then - but cut cost by doing my own colour yesterday and it looks ok!0

Well then this book is perfect for you!
It encourages you to eat loads, just the right food :T0 -
Thanks Magician will definitely investigate!
Today has been a weird day - first time since starting this job (nearly 4 months!) that I felt annoyed with things - people ranting at me as soon as I walked in at 10 to 9 and everyone had issues or problems that they wanted me to sort! Made worse by my lack of sleep (not getting on top of this even though I am doing my mindfulness meditation every night!) just too much in my head I guess!
Things did get a bit better but just a stressy day! I think I am aware that I have so much to do but not in work Thurs and Fri and next week got 2 days dedicated to studying and the following week the same until my next assignment is in! My boss is supportive as she sees the value of the course to the organisation but the work doesn't stop while I get the studying done - today was a reminder of how much I have to do! and how irritate I get when people moan about things not being their job - had too much of that today!!!!
Anyway enough moaning - on a plus note I passed my last assignment with a good mark:D which I am really pleased about. However it got me thinking about trying to at least get a merit or a distinction - to been reading university rules to see what I need to get over the next 2 modules and dissertation! Why do I do that? Why can't I just be happy to go with the flow - I just can't help putting more pressure on myself!!!!
DD1 is not well and has been signed off work for a few days so I assumed she was going to come to the wedding on Friday - but she has rung my mum and said she can't go (she has really bad coldsores) - I am really sad!she obviously didn't want to tell me outright as she knows I will be disappointed!!!
Working out my money for the wedding - it is going to be very tight without dipping into my salary on Friday (pay day) - I don't get DD2's rent until the next weekend! But I am sure I will work it out! - I have £210 of my Smile OD left (I use this all the time it will be last to be paid off!) plus £78 CSA on Thurs - my mum said she would give me the accommodation money and train fare (£130) plus £50 towards the gift. DD2 is meant to be giving me £20 towards the gift as is DD1 (but I doubt I will see that if she isn't going to the wedding!) - so I should have £490 - not including DD1 contribution. I have £260 in accommodation to pay (for posh hotel), taxis between station and hotels (estimate £20) and gift between all of us £100 leaving me with £110 for spends and to last until next weeks CSA! Sounds plenty as I don't need much (if anything) in the way of food shopping when we get back but I need fuel in the car (£10 should see me through the week) - but drinks at the posh hotel on the wedding night will be !!! (tap water anyone???)
NDS today so at least that is positive!!! Going over to the OS board to post 5 positive things for the day to get me back on track!0 -
Better day today - productive in work and once again I have been humbled and reminded of what is important!
Mum has offered to pay for the posh hotel and I will give her the extra back next week (£50) - so temporary cash flow averted and I don't need to worry about asking her for money which I hate!!! Just need to get the present contributions off DD1 and DD2 and I am sorted! Also haircut estimated at £20 ended up a dry cut for £10! So happy with that!:D
Not a lot else to report today - Pay day on Friday so need to work out debt payments when I get back from the wedding - my overall balance will go up this month cos of boiler but hopefully the grant money will come in over the next month to sort that out and get back on track!
Got a letter from Nationwide CC putting my credit limit up! Is this an indication that my credit rating is improving? Shame it didn't come with a 0% balance transfer too! Maybe that's still to come0 -

I don't know if it means anything Cwtchie - just hoping it does!!!
Back from our travels to Bonny Scotland and what a fantastic time we had! It was brilliant and kids were really good - the wedding itself was tasteful and special and the posh hotel was gorgeous - the view across the river and the 2 bridges was stunning!!! we made maximum use of the posh hotel room - getting an early check in at 11.30 so we could get ready there (the bathroom was super luxurious!). Met some lovely people and caught up with extended family - got another wedding invite from other cousin in September too!
I didn't go over budget either - although cheap hotel tried to overcharge me by £15 for the bar tab - but swiftly rectified! We stopped and got some wine and drinks for kids to have in the room so kept costs down. So I have £50 left in the bank to last until Thursday - but that should be fine! Just need to meal plan carefully and get a few fresh bits (picked up a Haggis for tomorrows dinner - its Burn's night! Delicious!)
Tomorrow I need to plan February's budget and pay CC's - got an email to say that boiler grant is being processed and money will be with me within 10 days!:T - but not sure my debt total will go down at all with the boiler purchase (but house is toasty and warm!!)0 -
