Yes crockery is lovely but not even going to open it until kitchen decorated - hoping it will help me get motivated to do it - I don't need to spend much - I have white paint for the ceiling and need to get paint for the walls will check out freegle first!) I have some next vouchers for any nice bits too - the real work is to clear the cupboards and de clutter first!!!!:(
On a positive note - I phoned trampoline place and they let me change the booking - so now have a booking in half term week which is great :T something to look forward to that week - not just cleaning, de cluttering and decorating - and already paid for!
We have a tiny covering of snow here - it has frozen solid so horrible driving conditions - so not planning on going out at all so NSD predicted - I am going to try my hand at making spring rolls later so that might prove interesting!!!
The house is a bit of a tip - the boiler drama seems to have thrown everything into a bit of chaos and with going away this week I need to get sorted! (my friend is house and pet sitting!) so todays plans involves washing, tidying and cleaning (but not until after Sunday brunch - my little Sunday indulgence with another coffee- along with browsing on here!):D0 -
This mind set you are so good at changing is a very hard thing to do, my whole mind set is wrong and I battle constantly, I'd love a bit more income at the moment so I could organise things a bit better for the future.
The kitchen pressies sound lovely, enjoy!£250 shopping, diesel and any other spends

Cwtchie its not easy to change a mind set I agree - If you had known me this time last year I was in a very different and very dark place - I really don't know what has changed except the fact that I survived last year on my own, I survived a battle with my ex husband and have survived getting my son and his problems diagnosed and dealt with. My new job is probably the single most influential element of my mind change and it is difficult to explain - but I suddenly realised how lucky I am and how much I take for granted and what really is important to me! Yes I would like more money and to be debt free now - but actually I know it sounds clich!d but part of the new mind set in relation to money is definitely about the journey and I am actually quite enjoying it! I have no doubt the skills I have learned and the people I have 'met' along the way will also help me make good financial decisions for the future. I could do with a bit more energy to get things in the house done - but I'm sure that's related to some unhealthy habits (late nights, not enough exercise and unhealthy eating habits) - and that unfortunately is also a mind set change that I am not quite on top of yet!0

I do admire you Judi24, you have so much to be proud of. I'm glad your feeling better, I can see a huge change just from the start of your last thread to now, going from strength to strength x£250 shopping, diesel and any other spends

Thanks Cwtchie - I just woke up one day and told my self to stop feeling sorry for myself - its my life and only I can take control of it! (I'm sure Ampersand had something to do with this revelation too! master of my own ship!!!
)
I can also take control of my unhealthy habits but at the moment time is focused on my family, getting my masters out of the way and getting debt free - if I can manage that this year I will be very happy and hopefully I can then focus on me a little more - in the mean time everyday I will try to make some healthy choices even if it means I am not ready to run a marathon - today's choice was having a healthy breakfast (blueberries, granola, natural yogurt and honey!) instead of toast, tomorrow's is to have less coffee and drink water through the day plus having a healthy breakfast! One day at a time!
The spring rolls were a complete success Betsycat (a bit fiddly) kids loved them! Had the leftovers tonight with sweet and sour pork from left over pork that was lurking in the freezer!0 -
Ooh wow, sounds yum! As does your blueberry breakfast!0

To anyone wanting to lose weight I've got only one thing to say
The Harcombe Diet
It changed my whole understanding of food.
It shouldn't really be called a diet but rather a book on understanding how food works when it enters your body and most importantly why you crave things and how to beat that
