mrsammyp,
I've been stumped by the same issue with the Howdens wall cabinets. We are just finishing off a full house refurb with a lovely slick kitchen only to realise their cabinets are non standard.
Could you confirm that the Neff really fitted and still works? Did you have any issues with ventilation? Did you have to make any modifications?
I would really appreciate your feedback as I'm getting desperate and don't want the Lamona for love nor money....!
Many thanks,
DoowutsAppreciate this is an old thread but I have been looking for weeks to find an integrated microwave that fits the Howdens wall units.
I can confirm that we have just fitted the Neff H11WE60N0G and it fits like a glove!0 -
Sorry for resurrecting an old thread, but I'm another person in the same boat - I have a cabinet for a wall-mounted microwave, but am wondering how anything will fit in it. Even the Howdens Lamona one is listed as being 320mm deep as its exterior measurement, and from the back of the cabinet to the outer edge of the adjacent cupboard doors is only 300mm deep, so I don't see how it can fit flush. And that's before you allow at least a little bit of space for wiring.
Doowuts - how did you get past this in the end?0 -
Sorry to the people that have replied to my post, I didn't realise.
We fitted the Neff model I mentioned in the previous post, our builder cut away some of the plasterboard behind to provide some ventilation.
It's working great so far and definitely looks the part.
On the electrical side, our electrician put a plug socket on the bottom of the unit.0 -
Hi, my microwave popped last night ie. it isn't heating whatsoever. It's been superseded by the HJA 7050 - H460mm x W594mm x D387mm - in a tower. Does anyone know the equivalent shop bought replacement as I've had no luck with appliance city etc. I have complained to Howdens as I don't have a builder now and am awaiting a reply. It's ridiculous after spending so much money that there's no customer after sales if you don't have a builder's account.0

Hi, I too am having problems replacing my Lamona HJA7020. I am interested to know how you got on with Howdens and what was the final outcome.0

I’m replacing my Lamona microwave and I see you replaced yours with the Neff H11WE60N0G but I’ve checked sizes and it states the height is 382mm but the height of my unit is 450mm. I would appreciate if you could confirm the height of your Howden’s unit. The width and depth are fine.0

So...... I encountered the very same issue, and not wanting a Lamona microwave I ordered the Neff model stated through my builder. Further I was ASSURED by the Howdens kitchen designer that the Neff would fit.
Last week the kitchen was being fitted and low and behold the builder rang telling me it won’t actually fit in the space so my only option was to have the Lamona..... not happy.0 -
I realise that this is quite an old thread but my Lamona HJA 7020 recently died on me too like others her it stopped heating food its probably because the Magnetron died and the part is now obsolete However the 7020 has now been replaced by the LAM 7150 and that fitted in perfectly into the Howdens 600 microwave / oven tower unit.0
