    Device Manager; different operating systems are slightly different.

    Start button / Settings / Control panel. Open the Sytem option. Select the Hardware tab and then Device Manager button.

    You're looking for any exclamation marks against any hardware, specifically the Network card.

    You still haven't said whether PC with an ethernet card or a wireless laptop.

    Which operating system are you using?

    I looked for the error code and most answers are that it came with a Windows update. The best thing is to do a system restore and restore your computer back a couple of days.

    If need instructions on doing a restore just PM me.

    sorry pc with cable modem and i think its an ethernet card...

    well... traumas
    have had to do a full system recovery!!
    turned out there was a corrupt file!!
