CM or set top box? I take it you have powered everything down, waited a couple of mins, power up the set top box/ modem, waited for the lights to lock/ settle and then powered up the PC?
Are the lights locked on the front or flashing by the way?

If lights are fixed then you "should" be able to connect. You could try pinging a www address or an IP address to check if there are issues elsewhere but sometimes these issues are not caused by the VM network but closer to home. Have you got a firewall running at all or a router?

    Laptop or PC?

If PC take a look at the Device Manager and ensure there are no problems reported with the network card.

If wireless laptop you may need to use a network cable to connect to the router and change some settings, but check that the wireless card is turned ON first.

Are you sure you've not been cut off by Virgin? I wouldn't surprise me.

Check your PC Guard that comes with Virgin. Start by opening up and wait for it to load, if you get a message on the screen saying "Sorry, you services are not active" (or something like that) And it will say "Don't worry, your computer will still be protected"

If you see that you have been disconnected
