Morning all,
I'm completely and utterly confused about what is going on with my body at the moment! AF was due on Monday but 3 days on, no sign yet, since coming off pill in Jan I have been on 26day cycle, never ever late. I have felt nauseaous contantly for a week now, had occasional slight cramping, had the odd dizzy spell, and have had tender breasts too. But I POAS yesterday and have a BFN
Is 3 days late too early to get a BFP result? How long to I leave it?!

Most pregnancy tests are sensitive enough to give a result on first day of missed period. However if you don't get a BFP that doesn't mean you're not. Just test again after a few days (assuming AF holds off) everyone's hormone levels are different and it may take longer for there to be sufficient levels to show up in a test.
Our first test was 7 days after AF was due. The line was very faint and took almost the whole test time to appear. Few days later it was much stronger.
The only symptoms she had was cramping in the days up to AF being due and after.Mortgage remaining: £42,260 of £77,000 (2.59% til 03/18 - 2.09% til 03/23)

Asda ones come in packs of 2
Thanks for the speedy reply! I want to try wait a few more days if I can. I have used the Asda ones but maybe I should try a lower/more sensitive one next time! Hate this waiting game.* Rainbow baby boy born 9th August 2016 *

Yes sorry originally missed reading where you said you'd already tested yesterday. (Awake all night with excruciating back pain, couldn't move! - maybe it's all this BDing). I edited my post to remove the bit about 'you could test today' best to leave it a few days.
Normal sensitivity test should be fine after. As I said our first test was a week after.
Best of luckMortgage remaining: £42,260 of £77,000 (2.59% til 03/18 - 2.09% til 03/23)

Hi Flutterby
It all depends on how quick your HCG levels rise, which is different for everyone. What were your cycle lengths before going on the pill if you can remember? That may help you judge whether it is your body still readjusting. I would wait until the weekend and test again then if not AF. Your levels just may not be high enough yet to be detected. Sorry that is no use really0 -

Flutterbly, I think the advice is to test again after 3 days if still no AF, as the others have said, hcg levels may not be high enough atm for hpt to pick it up. Keeping fingers crossed you get bfp soon!!!
Sorry for AF manc, how you're having plenty chocolate & wine0 -

Sorry for CD1 mancmama. Hugs.
I caved and did a test this morning, of course BFN. Far too early to test though. My cycle was a lot easier to work out before the miscarriage, I would get a few days spotting, severe cramps, bad skin but the cycles post miscarriage have just been that AF has come out of nowhere. Maybe because i had a D&C? Anybody else experience of this?0 -
Sorry to hear about CD1 mancmama - fingers crossed that this will be your positive cycle.
Hope you get some answers soon flutterby.
Pickle my AF comes out of nowhere too since having my DS. I had similar symptoms to you beforehand, so maybe it's pregnancy that causes the changes.
Had some spotting yesterday and slightly stained CM 2 days ago, but not getting my hopes up, as I've been having my usual pre-AF carb cravings, moodiness, etc. I had pink spotting last cycle too which I thought could have been implantation bleeding, but obviously wasn't. AF due on Sunday.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170
