Welcome along ianri, so sorry to hear of your loss and hoping your stay back in TTC is short :)

Oh chickp bless you, have you tried the cb dual hormone opks? I've found them really useful as we started bding on the first flashing smiley rather than waiting purely for a positive ic opk. Keep your chin up x

Fx for next few days cats, its still early!

:j for ovulation mancs! Let the 2ww commerce :D

Not much going on here, definitely feels different this cycle, a lot more post o symptoms which I'm Hoping is a good thing and will mean a longer luteal phase. Not sure if/when I'll test, I said next Friday at 12dpo but I have a poas addiction....

Hubby has decided I'm already pregnant, he doesn't know why, he just has :rotfl:

    Men!

Haha my hubby is the same... grabbed him as soon as he walked in last night and afterwards he seemed so sure..."I think that was it, that was the one, the timing is perfect!"... if only it was that simple!!!!! I think that every single time we BD though haha...

Hope your man's intuition is spot on for you though Jtr!

BR don't rule yourself out just yet... pre-AF and post-ov/implantation symptoms can be so similar its almost impossible to tell really until you test if AF doesn't show... I know how you feel though, I am only on Cycle 5 if this month doesn't work but the last few months have flown by and keep thinking about my looming 35th birthday after Xmas... look after yourself x
Hi IanRi, so sorry to hear you've had a difficult few weeks. Here's hoping you and OH get some good news soon and aren't here long.

Afm, it's 10dpo and I'm fairly sure I'm out - temps haven't yet dropped, but are at the lowest point of Lp average, and my cervix came down low and hard this morning. Obviously it's not done till AF shows, but I'm pretty certain and have surprised myself by how down I feel. This will be month 9 - if I'd fallen first time I'd be about to drop now, just like three of my friends are. Having a massive case of woe is me!

Cats I am amazed at how quickly ttc has become my obsession... it's all I think about... it really came to a head the other night when I started getting peed off because there are now two preggos in Eastenders!! Hubby was all "how can you be jealous of a fictional tv character?!?!?!"

Oh Black Ribboner massive hugs, but as you say you're not out yet!!

I've really shocked myself on how much this all gets to me, this is only cycle 2.5 for us (saying .5 for first as it was coming off pill so bit hard to tell) and I'm still just so worried/anxious about it all - which of course then doesn't help!!

My skin has gone icky too which is usual an AF symptom :(

I was so naive, loads of people just said "yeah we fell pregnant straight away", so i was convinced I'd be the same.

I'm very new to all this, and to be honest not massively open about it (to family or friends) so bear with me...maybe joining in some support will be usefull, as it is starting to become and obsession.

So my DH and I are currently ttc, on cycle 4, been NTNP for over a year (since we got married last April). using Ovi app and OPK's and watching Heidi Kim on youtube. Have just started to gather research on pinterest too.

I am taking Zinc, folic acid, iron and fish oil, DH is taking Zinc.

Currently 1DPO (hope youre impressed with the lingo, I've been learning ;-) )

so hope your dont mind me joining you, and getting tips maybe? joining your journey :-)

Welcome rockm87!! Come join, although we of course hope your stay is short :)

Ladies - a question - how strict have you all been on your diet/alcohol etc? I've never been a big drinker, but have cut down massively still on alcohol, caffeine etc. OH & I often share a bottle of wine 1 (or 2) nights a week though, normally Fri/Sat, and I'm really conflicted. I could be pg, but at the same time I'm so stressed out with work and all the TTC stuff that a glass of wine and a film might help me relax!!

Please be brutal, I'm genuinely interested :)

    Hi!!

I've tried to change my diet, I'm not a bad eater usually but trying to have hot lemon water instead of tea and eating more veg instead of rice or pasta.

I dont drink that much usually anyway so I havent monitored that, but DH drinks a fair bit, I've not really said anything about it to him. I dont want him to be stressed about it.

OH is being very strict with diet this time. Made a meal plan that we have to stick to religiously! Both getting our 7 a day of fruit/veg, lots of broccoli, whole-wheat seeded bread instead of white, salmon once or twice a week, white fish. (she's been vegetarian for years but recently started having fish again)

Then she's having pregnacare multivitamins and the higher dose of folic acid. Im just having regular multivitamin + iron supplement.

Just drink fruit juice, no added sugar squash or plain old water. Neither of us drink alcohol much at all. As in maybe 2 units a year or less! But that was the case before anyway.

Last time we conceived first time trying so were lucky. (at least at that point)
We didn't try to time it specifically as weren't sure how long the cycle would be (was straight off the pill), just tried every couple days.

    Welcome rockm87!

Yeah we have cut down a bit, only really have 1 coffee a day and if we go "out out' rarely have more than 5 drinks... maybe once or twice this year. Diet wise I'm following Slimming World which I'm hoping will help (started this week).

Welcome rock! Very impressed with the lingo too, its takes a bit of getting used to.

I sit on the fence with the whole diet/TTC issue, I think unless you are morbidly obese, or have a physical reason why, a strict diet won't 'help' ttcing. As long as you eat a good variety of foods and aren't overindulging every day then I wouldn't worry.

I was eating better and exercising for the past two years but have had a bit of a bad month. I'll just get back to it when I'm ready :) obviously some people want something to focus on which is absolutely fine.

I'm the same with alcohol, until I've seen a positive test I'll have my g&t each evening, one isn't going to be enough to do any damage to either of us.

I think enjoying life is important, ttcing is hard enough!

Very happily married on 10th April 2013 :D
