I think I need to get some smiley face OPKs. I STILL second time around find the cheapies hard to read, and spend hours squinting and working out if that shade of pink is darker than that one.
Not having the swimmers on tap, makes this SO much harder, as I am just trying to guess when I'm going to ovulate (with a cycle that is different every month, too) and try and time it with a) finding a babysitter b) making sure the donor is available and c) finding a cheap hotel room for him to pop the swimmers into a jar for us - oh and d) making sure my wife hasn't got a work 'thing' on.
We'll only be able to book the hotel and organise this one day this cycle, I'm CD13... so which day do I do it on, is my biggest dilemma. My last 3 cycles have been 30 and 31 day cycles... which would mean ovulation should be around day 16/17ish, right?
I need to make a decision and book a hotel, because if I leave it too late, the cost will triple!Baby 2b born March 2013! :j:j:j0 -

I take it your donor is not local? And we thought conceiving was difficult without all of that! Our Rainbow Twins born 17th April 2016

Yup, I had the same opk problem last month! Got one faint line and that was it! There was me thinking I'd get more lines and then nothing! The dual indicator clear blue digis are a steal on Amazon at the moment.

Morning all, Day 9 here and starting to test for OV tomorrow, estimated Day 13 so trying SMEP from tonight (was too tired last night haha). Fingers crossed for a few more BFPs this month!
I was messing about on Glow earlier and can't believe this trend for "tweaking" that is going on for people's tests... I'm not sure what the benefit would be, I know we are all so keen for a BFP but doctoring photos in the hope of a second line is surely pointless, if you think you see a faint line surely you'd just test against in a day or so?! You can't fool a test into being positive by editing a photo?! It seems odd to me... Don't quote me though, might be doing it myself in a few months, who knows!

I'm now CD4 which is fine, I was waiting for it.
MancMama we are also doing SMEP this month, and I'm going to really really try to forget about it in the TWW. Last month I went a bit crazy. I won't be a July BFP though, the earliest I could test would be 3rd August.

Yeah we were! Hello! ... Must be a good sign ;-)
CD14 today Well I am thoroughly confused, OPK line lighter today than yesterday, but having had a feel cervix is high and still feels like tip of nose - which I think means ovulation still hasn't happened (if it's like lips then imminent - will have to re-google!), also haven't had any cervical mucas yet. The month I fell with 'Bug' (my now Toddler), I had used Soy Isoflavones (sp?) and had TONS of cervical mucus.... wondering whether to go straight to that and just try again!
So will try again tomorrow to see what colour it is, and if no luck order the Soy Iso-thingumjigs.
*sprinkling baby dust around* Sure is quieter on here than it was first time around, I think? I remember struggling to keep up! xxBaby 2b born March 2013! :j:j:j0 -
Milliebob I need to do that too this month... totally ignore the 2ww if poss and keep busy - last month was agony and I was symptom spotting every 5 mins and conviced myself I was going to get a BFP... this month I'm going to try and stay calm... SMEP will give me some focus for the next week at least!
2b hope you being here again brings us some babydust!! :jMancMama4 (35) TTC since Apr 15, MMC Dec 15, Our Rainbow Baby Charlie arrived Dec 16 :heart2:0
