Sneaking back in (again....) hoping to be debt free in 2015!!

Have been around these forums for many years (with a different username;)) and, like so many others, find that when I stop, reading, posting & thinking....things start to go a tad pear shaped!:o
So I'm making it one of my aims for this year....to post regularly, and keep my eye on the ball. Credit cards are locked away & even over the last few days, I've managed to stop myself ordering things online on the spur of the moment...this is normally my downfall - I think of something I [STRIKE]need[/STRIKE] want & click...its ordered!!
Debt has been accrued through some necessary, and some unnecessary, spending. I'll post my totals up later.
So, aims for 2015:

- be credit card debt free
- address my diet & level of fitness
- less internet time
- spend quality time with my children
- try to be more productive, manage my time better & achieve more

Yesterday was my first NSD of 2015:j -here's to many more to come!! Spent yesterday relaxing - as of today, I intend to start to get myself sorted. The decorations need to come down, the house needs cleaning & I need to get some exercise in today - am thinking I'll go for a walk later. For the first time since I finished work - I am up, showered and dressed before 8.15am.....lately it's been around 11.00, and it's such a waste of the day.
DH and kids still in bed:D so am enjoying a bit of peace & quiet with a cuppa. Thinking about jobs for today:
Update debt total on MSE:eek:
Take down decorations & pack away
Clean lounge and kitchen
Nag kids to do their homework:(
1 load of washing
Half an hour ironing
Go for a walk
Pop to shops....need some trainers (have found a pair for £29 - just hope they're in stock) & birthday cards/stamps
Eat 5 pieces of fruit/veg
Think that's enough to be going on with....need to do some decluttering too, but think I'll conentrate on getting the house looking straight and tidy today.
Have a great day all xx2nd January 2015: Total £4970.70 Total now: £4878.88 :eek:Mum & Dad £100/£1795.00[STRIKE]Next £135.70/£135.70[/STRIKE]Balance now £0 :j

Hello Lily Rose,
Good luck on your journey.
Mrs R0 -
Thanks judi & Mrs R.....decorations are down, decluttered and packed away, lounge has been blitzed...even the windows & leather settee have been cleaned too!! One load of washing done & on the line! It's a sunny, windy but relatively mild day, so it might dry a little;)
Just off to have a bit of lunch before I crack on...the rest of the house looks a bit of a mess now:(2nd January 2015: Total £4970.70 Total now: £4878.88 :eek:Mum & Dad £100/£1795.00[STRIKE]Next £135.70/£135.70[/STRIKE]Balance now £0 :j

Eat 5 pieces of fruit/veg:o - need to do better!
So...here are my debt totals....the loan from my parents was for a car and I pay this back at £100 per month...it's obviously not incurring any interest but I need to pay it!!
Lloyds Credit Card (0%) £1607.10
Tesco credit card (0%) £681.14
Car loan (parents) £1795.00
M&S Card (not 0%) £771.07
Next £116.39
This brings me a grand total of £4970.70:eek::eek::eek: - can't quite believe I've got myself back in this situation again....we consolidated a year or 2 ago...you'd think I'd learn my lesson!! Never mind, no point in regrets.....just need to focus on paying it off.
My situation is that there's me, DH, DS1, DS2 and DD. I've recently started earning more, so that should be a real help. Only problem is that we also have tonnes of things we need to get sorted in the house...carpets that need replacing, tiling, some decorating etc....plus we feel that we need to be able to enjoy life a little too. It's about how we get that balance I suppose....with kids that are growing up so fast that soon they'll be 18 and we'll wonder where the time has gone! We've had years of scrimping by, so would like to be able to do more with them, before they're not interested in spending time with us anymore:rotfl:
I'm not going to post my SOA......because I know that I could pay a lot more off my debt each month...but we also need to live too!!
Today's plan:
Clean kitchen cupboard door fronts
DH to clean bathroom (he doesn't know this yet);)
Catch up with a friend and her DD
Post-Christmas Family get-together tonight
Wash towels
Shop for fruit/milk/sandwich meat...ready for back to school/work
Everyone here still asleep......they're going to be in for such a shock when Monday arrives:eek:2nd January 2015: Total £4970.70 Total now: £4878.88 :eek:Mum & Dad £100/£1795.00[STRIKE]Next £135.70/£135.70[/STRIKE]Balance now £0 :j

Oh and yesterday was my 2nd NSD of 2015!!:j
However.....have already spent £2.99 today on an in-app purchase:mad:.....need to remind myself to wait an hour before I hit that button....to see if I still want it then!
Reminder No1.....don't impulse buy on my phone!!!2nd January 2015: Total £4970.70 Total now: £4878.88 :eek:Mum & Dad £100/£1795.00[STRIKE]Next £135.70/£135.70[/STRIKE]Balance now £0 :j

Had a lovely day yesterday, DD got chance to catch up with her friend - unfortunately it did mean going to the local play centre.....and cost me around £15 with lunch/drinks.....however, we don't do to play centres any more normally (and DD is really getting too old for them anyway) so it was fine.
Filled my car up....couldn't believe it only cost me £45:D.....6 months ago it was around £55!! Sent DH to fill up his car too, ready for the week ahead....back to the normal routine:(
Still haven't been to the shops....will need to go today. DH got bread and milk yesterday, but will need fresh stuff for lunches! Trying to think about work lunches.....I get so bored with sandwiches....all I can think of really is soup! Any ideas? It's too cold for salad:eek:
Still not doing well on the fruit and veg front...think I had a little bit of salad yesterday, and that was about it:o. Also ate too much at family get together....so am starting afresh today! Have had branflakes for breakfast and am currently munching some grapes.
So trainers need to be purchased today....think I will 'borrow' some money from the petrol account, seeing as it looks like we won't need as much as I've budgeted for this month:T.
Plan to take DD to the cinema tomorrow as DS1 & 2 are back to school. We shall take our own snacks though.....we have tonnes of stuff left from christmas! DSs still need to finish their homework....I've told them no X Box until it's done.....you can imagine how popular I am!
Hope everyone has a good day!2nd January 2015: Total £4970.70 Total now: £4878.88 :eek:Mum & Dad £100/£1795.00[STRIKE]Next £135.70/£135.70[/STRIKE]Balance now £0 :j

Ok so trainers were £24.99.....£5 cheaper than I'd expected:j however I bought DD a bacon roll (2.95) and a diary (£1). Also bought cards (£1.77) and a new quilt cover/sheet which was £46.10:eek: - our quilt cover finally ripped the other day so I needed to replace it. I did buy a set which I thought would be suitable when we eventually decorate our room....so that I won't need to buy a new one then. However, it was more than I'd hoped to spend....although is very pretty:D
I then rounded down my accounts and paid £1.77 off my Next account....not much, but it all helps.
Just chilling now and intend to enjoy my final day off...before the madness begins again on Tuesday.2nd January 2015: Total £4970.70 Total now: £4878.88 :eek:Mum & Dad £100/£1795.00[STRIKE]Next £135.70/£135.70[/STRIKE]Balance now £0 :j
