Just back from a very blustery walk/bike ride. I have to say the weather is the worst it's been this holiday period. Don't see us going out again so that's NSD one in the bank for Jan. I'm joining in with the Ninja Saving Turtles crew for Jan so I need 18 to make the grade." Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

Happy new year! I went out with OH to a friends house last night, got a lift each way and took drinks with us that we already had so a cheap night out and no sore head today yay!
Today is the start of a new year and I need to get a grip after losing myself a little in the last few months of 2014!
Today I will;
- Check online banking (48p seems to have debited somewhere and I cant see where from yet! grrr)
- Do surveys from Mysurvey - think im near another payout!
- Do a load of washing (already in) and will need to be tumble dried as weather here is shocking!
- Swagbucks
- Get in the right frame of mind for the new year!

Happy New Year! Am raring to go with the money saving. Today's list:
*Cat bedding washed overnight on cheap tariff. On heated airer which will be switched on at bedtime to hammer cheap rate again.
*Finish eating up leftovers for lunch/dinner.
*Put new diary pages in Filofax. Set up my new system. Am sticking to my Money Book, as that works well for me, but am merging diary, calendar, address book, day book (planning, lists, meal plans, etc) into one chunky filofax so as to be even more organised than usual.
*Write 4 letters using stamps liberated from Christmas cards - amazes me how random the postal machinery is.
*Do meal plans.
*Write shopping list.
*Upload meter readings to website.
*Resume my money saving 'Use it up' campaign. Today's have been cleanser from a cut open bottle, a free sachet of expensive body cream & starting another lipstick remains with a lip brush. This may seem picky to some, but look at it this way. Even a high-street brand of lippy can be around £9 (for people who pay full price i. e not me!). As a third of the product gets left behind in the tube, that's £3 totally wasted. Would you throw 3 pound coins down the drain ready for Bobarella to fish out with a piece of string & a bent paper clip? Cos I wouldn't! :-)
*Staying in so nsd. When I've finished my list, I intend to finish my library book, knit & read some magazines I was given.
The snow thawed overnight & despite it being very windy, & no downstairs heating on, it does feel noticeably warmer.
Have a nice day, everyone. Let's all really cane it with the money saving this year. I really need to build up our disaster fund again, having had to borrow from it to make up the bathroom bill payment, so I will be thinking about some savings targets over the next week.

Happy new year everyone!
Today I have already done:
1. Set up standing orders to pay bills to my housemates
2. Transferred the money from my coins I paid in my bank yesterday to the credit card that I'm paying interest on
3. Going to try for a NSD day
4. Make my meal plan for rest of week and make shopping list for next time I need to go shopping
5.List a couple of items on ebay with the 30% off final listing fees offer for 3 items.
6. Check to see if there's any surveys to do on the survey sites.0 -
