    Ah Rosie :(

How long have you been on the anti-depressants for? I was on them when I struggled to get work after uni- they were a blessing and a curse. Didn't feel like myself on them. Like I was sleepwalking through my own life.

Any chance you could have a holiday to get away from it all? Sounds unlikely with your **** boss but sounds like you need one too x

its a bit different for me as my boss is smarter and knows more than anyone else.

the idea is to calm me down at work. I don't feel like i'm sleep walking at the minute they are only just taking the edge off.

i had holidays throughout last year but don't forget it is only january.

As i say, my thoughts are to get another job. i was thinking that i would like to use my degree.

We do not have written contracts and i have been there 14 years.

So when i leave i don't plan on giving much notice. Then he can see who's going to do his F****** BRC audits etc.

i wanted to tell you about my day.

And love to anyone else who's work is pants or just needs a hug.:grouphug:

Yes the charges still apply as they are the fees you pay for using the eBay marketplace to sell your item. Method of delivery will not affect this.

You can avoid paying Paypal fees though if you get the buyer to pay you cash on collection. In fact this is advisable as if they pay you using Paypal, not only do you have to pay Paypal fees, but there is a risk that they could claim not to have received the goods (which you cannot prove they did if they collected them) and ask Paypal for a refund. If you can't prove that you sent the goods to the buyer using a trackable postage method then Paypal will refund the buyer.

Thank you, that's what I thought. Collection would be the only option really as it's a 51" telly.

If I sell on eBay I do tend to send parcels by courier signed for, most times it's cheaper than Royal Mail and was fed up of people saying they not received items etc.
Had someone once told me that he put wrong address for parcel to be sent to, so was going to put a claim in that he had not received it  so told him and sent him a photo of proof of postage, he suddenly found it!! Cheeky !!!!!!.

I'm sorry work and life are so crap for you at the moment :(

I'd say to do what I'm doing and just quit anyway but I get that this isn't an option for most people.

I hope things start to look better soon x

i can pay the mortgage and bills for a while. I have been living frugally for much of the last year in case things go bad.

i can go on sick leave for a month and look for something else if it came to it.

that's more than many these days.

Glad you will be free soon.

    Hi everyone :hello:
Can I ask if anyone knows about eBay? If I list a item that's large for collection only, if it sells do the charges for selling on eBay still apply?
    Thanks fernie

Far from an expert in these things but wondering if your son has tried to renegotiate with the lending people? Maybe if they knew your son was looking to transfer the mortgage elsewhere, they might give a offer a more favourable interest rate.

Thanks for all your advice . It is early days and need to find out a bit more . Yes it may be worth his while asking.

my new deal in 2014 was for a mortgage of 74,000. I pay 355 per month. My interest rate is 2.54. this is with the woolwich.

Well that's a coincidence he s with the Woolwich too. Were you with the Woolwich in the first place and negotiated a new deal or did you go to them from somewhere else pls

They won't renegotiate an existing deal, but they will tell you what other deals they can offer you. Useful because there will be no legal costs or valuation fee if you stay with the same lender.

Actually Silvercar put it better than me. What I meant was see if the same lender has a lower interest rate mortgage offer, and see if they will let you transfer to a better deal. We use to do this with Scarborough bs.
