has anyone done the tissues for delivery today please? if o what were the results? all good? thanks x

Still waiting for my cc order to show collected and then I'll know. Had a 9-11 slot this morning, got there around 9.30 and was told deliveries not arrived from DC yet. Could I go off and come back again :undecided? Took my mobile no and rang me just before 10.30 to say order had arrived. All looking good though as was charged £1 a box.

Following on from this I had an email from P and O today with a prize draw to win a 12 nigh canaries cruise in April. So prior to this I checked the calender and looked at the ports etc and di the usual research and it looked good.

Then I rechecked the dates and this one gets back into Southampton on May 1st  - the day this major rail construction starts so very long convulted route homewards

For anyone who uses trains, north of Birmingham, going south, possibly considering doing a cruise from Southampton over the May day bank holiday weekend
    - in particular Friday May 1st to May 4th
    - have a think about your trip to Southampton

OH says there will be major engineering works over that weekend between Stafford and Wolverhampton- assume then that they will do a bus replacement service starting from Stafford which will be horrendous.

Its about 40 mins on the train between Stafford and Birmingham - goodness knows how long it will take partly on the bus esp if its doing stops en route - the other weekend the bus was taking 3 hours between Crewe and Birmingham (normally an hour on the train)

so the connections in Birmingham will be messed up - anyone changing at New Street for Southampton (or anywhere south) is going to have severe problems -

Royal Caribbean, Fred Olsen and P and O all have cruises setting off over that weekend from Southampton to various places eg Norway including the little 2 and 4 days weekend taster cruises - we have been looking at these thinking that there might be some good last minute offers with so many ships setting off. We also like to go early May before the garden gets going fully.
So I put reminders on the calendar but that weekend has gone black skull and crossbones on it now

Its at least a 4 hour drive for us so we usually use the train, change at Stafford - very long tedious trip but then we don't have to worry about the car or parking etc

What about c and c done today for collection in the morning?
Personally, I wouldn't. However that is probably because I got 30 boxes today and don't need to take the risk.;)

I am really not sure if it will work or not, although emmad5689 had a 9am cc this morning that didn't work, so if I was you I'd go out tonight and do a few shops instore. I am pretty positive that instore shops will still work until tomorrow morning.
I agree with SFSB. In the past it used to be safe before 8:30am but now the cut off points seems to be earlier. Shops have failed between 7 to 7:30am which is why I now advise 6am as the cut off point. You could be lucky but personally I feel the odds are against us on this one.

Also I'm unsure if it goes by the time you collect or later when a5da update your order to show collected. It probably won't work for you is my opinon, sorry :(
