well this has been a right old weird day, could not concentrate on anything for more than a few mins at a time.

We went to Asda, got the medley bars which don't look like the box but they scanned OK and both went to paid for cashback on Shopotize with no drama.

Also got 2 of the bathsheets from Asda, nice turquoise colour for £5 each and I wrapped them around in store so I know everything will be covered - OK not mega cheap but not too bad seeing as I've left everything that needs organising to the last minute yet again.

It also made me think - hand towels we use masses of and these are constantly in and out of the wash so I don't think there is a lot of point in changing these until they fall to bits.

bath sheets we do use a lot so I will be looking out for more reduced ones in sales.

bath towels - not even sure what the purpose of these are as no one seems to use them in our house - OK the boys might on the rare occasions they are home and showering so I might re locate these to their room when our tame builder comes in to do our bathroom revamp.

I don't even think the shelf storage unit we have always used for towels is even fit for purpose now

Anyway we did make it to Sainsburys with the recycling, got eldest child her main birthday present - all week we have been discussing this.

but we cant decide on a birthday card - we must have been looking and reading cards for at least an hour in 2 stores this afternoon but neither of us can make a decision ...

Sainsburys had some very nice fluffy large fleece blankets on the reduced shelves - large ones the size of bath sheets reduced to £3 :j - I got the cream one but they also had deep purple - might be a nice extra gift is you are visiting someone who has been unwell/had a new baby etc - fleece, Boots bargains and a bottle of mystery wine :D

Evening all, A question for Chris V please, have you been in our local today, if so, did you notice if the dishwasher tabs are reduced in our store? Things usually arnt, so I am not holding my breath :P

I've also had an email from Country Life magazine - take out a subscription before Sunday for £21.25 - 50% off - get a £20 marks card.

so I went via topcashback and clicked on magazines direct, put "Country Life" in the search box and there is a flash at the top of the screen which says about this £20 marks gift card.

anyway I've made an order and £5.50 is pending cashback from topcashback - this take 3 months to go into the paid column so its a bit of a gamble but very nice if it does.
