O2 upgrade five day double phone fiasco

I feel you constantly saying the way you live is the easiest in the world very tiresome.
So first you criticise Zandoni for choosing sides in the 'Courier vs Post Office' debate.Asking someone to go to a post office is not excessive, if the item is prepaid and all they have to do is drop it off.
Excessive would be asking the OP to pay the postage and claim it back later.
But then..you state, quite firmly picking a side, that "asking someone to go to a post office is not excessive". Well, my only response to this statement and your flagrant inconsistencies is to quote a wise man:

Eventually they offered just £20 in compensation, thus I'm no longer keen to go out of my way to send the phone back.
Ask them for an increased amount of money that you feel does adequately compensate you for the inconvenience of waiting for a courier / taking it to a Post Office. As you have the phone you also have the upper hand with regard to negotiating the compensation.0 -
I find it extremely tiresome that so many people on here always take the sellers side.I feel you constantly saying the way you live is the easiest in the world very tiresome.
Just because you can get a collection from work, many can't. Just because someone at work is there all day paid by your employer to facilitate the pickup is just lovely for you. Well Done.
But.
That's a benefit you have, if you don't have that benefit, then in the non-Zandoni world of personal opinion the options are wait in all day for a courier to turn up or go to the post office and drop it off.

Yes I am extremely lucky that I can have parcels picked up from work and I realise that everyone is not in that position.
Asking someone to go to the Post Office is extremely excessive. It can involve a long car journey followed by parking charges and a 20 min wait in queue. Your time might not be valuable but mine is.
So I say if the OP wants a collection then they should demand one, if they want to take it the PO then that's up to them.0 -
So from your house to giving the parcel to the post office teller takes 90 secs. Wow you must be The Flash.Money-Saving-King wrote: »This is the Zandoni world version though. With me it takes a drive of 60 seconds and an average wait once in of between 0 and 30 seconds. I wouldn't call it an extremely excessive thing to ask of someone.
That's probably the most ridiculous statement you have ever come out with.:rotfl:0 -
You are obviously not very good with timings. Get yourself a stop watch and give it a try.Money-Saving-King wrote: »Or it's a 50 meter drive if I were to do it by car.
It's also within a small Supermarket and not busy so how you've figured it's a ridiculous statement I have no idea!0 -

The OP was honest enough to report that the initial phone had arrived, she went out of her way once to inform O2.
The OP is feels that she is entitled to a level of compensation above £20. She feels that the level of utility obtained from spending that £20 compensation to be less than the disutility suffered by O2/the couriers incompetence. To prevent herself from suffering further disutility at the hands of the retailer, she has proposed a solution in which O2 can have their phone back, but on her terms.
I deem that fair.
Im also missing the bit where it was define the OP was female. That doesn't change the facts of the matter.
I'll be sure to direct all posters to PM you direct, as you seem to think whatever you say is right.
Without proof.
The OP went to the effort of finding an o2 store, of which there are far fewer than a post office.
And yet asking to drop a pre-paid jiffy bag into a post office is excessive.

Oh its not just excessive now its EXTREMELY excessive. My local post office at home is in a convenience store, note the type of store - its approximately 90 yards from my house. Its open 7 days a week from 7am to 11pm - including the post office counter.
If I am in the office I have the choice of two post offices, both within 2 minutes walk of the front door.
From home the nearest o2 store is 11 miles away. From the office its a 5 minute walk.
You are completely ignoring the fact I did not TELL the OP they should have a courier - I merely pointed out the convenience aspect of using the post office versus wasting another entire day.
You all made that decision that I had done so allllll by yourself.0 -

Don't worry Zandoni, your above statement isn't your most ridiculous, you've posted far worse

I think you and MSK should have a post office race. I certainly don't believe either of your timings but isn't it an amazing coincidence you bothe live so close to a rare thing like a Post Office.Oh its not just excessive now its EXTREMELY excessive.
