Finally did some decluttering today after having done no decluttering for several weeks. The best thing is that OH has started to be more involved with this challenge.

    * We went to the tip today with lots of empty cardboards, shredded paperwork and various other pieces. The boot in the car is now empty again!
    * OH sorted out his toiletries and recycled quite a few empty bottles
    * Two magazines dropped off at MIL's
No toiletries challenge, started 18/1/2010 - Putting £1 in my savings jar for every item that I use up. Pot 1 to 4 = £261. Pot 5=£23
    Boots points:£39.21. Extra money in 2012:£674.59. In 2013 £603.48. 2014: £85. 2015: £0 :j

Today is a big day - the loft has been fully de-cluttered.

This means that the de-cluttering is almost done. I've been de-cluttering on and off for six years, so it takes a while. I could have done it quicker, but I sold a lot of things, so that does take time.

We still have a couple of things in the shed to get rid of, and there's a few small items I'd like to eBay, but apart from that, we are done:beer:

Of course, we'll never be fully finished, because there'll always be things that need to leave the house, so I will carry on, as and when needed.

I will continue to list things that we declutter, but there won't be heaps more now - I had hoped to get to 500 items, but that is unlikely to happen, so I've removed the 'target' element from my signature and will just keep the running total

    Morning all
Goldiegirl well done on clearing your clutter:T

Not really my house but sorted new boiler for mil with broken one being replaced.
Old broken fence at mils replaced with new one
Made a start on her garage and put a load of metal out for scrapman which has now been taken.
Gave 2 bags of photos to DDs1 & 3 when they last came round, I'm slowly sorting the kids a set of photos each and hopefully a box of their nicer tat that's stored here.

    954. Bag for life with broken handle - recycled.

When "bags for life" first arrived, I thought one point was that, when they got too bad to use, you could return them to the shop they came from and get a new one free of charge. Is that still the case?

Not getting a lot out at the moment.

695.Borrowed shower stool returned to owner (as my back is getting better)
    696. Large bottle of hand soap recycled
    697. Reorganised my last kitchen cupboard - binned some OOD food stuff but I can see a big difference in my kitchen storage now.
    698. Packed away lots of glasses/party wear items that are only used occasionally now. Still within easy access but not hogging up vitial space in my kitchen.
    699. Mum donated 6 storage jars for me to used so have got my baking ingredients all organised now. It looks fab.
    700. Fitted the hard plastic mats into my new kitchen trolley to stop smaller items slipping through.
    701. Used 2 of my new storage baskets for dried fruit/nut/seeds storage. Again so easy to locate stuff now and a lot less stuff lying about.
    702. Packed away knee high socks for the winter
No buying toiletries Graduated May 2017
    Decluttered 2016 2469 items, 2017 1580 items :j
