2015 - No Clutter To Be Seen

A bag went off to the charity shop at the weekend, 2 more tops of mine went into the next CS pile today.
While digging those out I decided we had too many hangers so went though all the ones I don't like (?!) so now we have a pile of about 30 to go, I'm just going to make sure we're not left short as some tops are in the never ending washing cycle.0 -

I have also added lots of old clothes, pots and pans to the charity I work for, its a start but I have a lot to do!Comp Wins on Twitter to Date: 20 Prizes!

After getting home from a short break, sorting the washing, putting stuff away, replenishing the miniature toiletries from the big bottles in the bathroom and stacking the suitcase with all the rest, I went to the charity shop.
A small collection of plastic carrier bags a jacket and a coat.
The jacket I found on a bin. It was filthy, but it was a wearable coat which someone had clearly dropped. I took it home and washed it before putting it on the charity pile.
The gorgeous, M&S, Per Una coat was another story.
I had seen the coat in one of the leafier commuter suburbs of London where I fell in love with it but couldn't justify paying £69 for another coat when I had plenty already.
Then I saw one in the summer sale in Wolves (where it had never been sold).
Clearly, someone had bought it in another store, but had returned it to Wolves.
Deciding it was fate, I bought it for £45. Bargain.
I had the sleeves shortened and put it away for more suitable weather.
But it just didn't seem to be the right weather.
It was too wet, (the coat wasn't waterproof), it was too warm, it was too cold - I was making excuses not to wear this attention seeking coat.
Today, in the sunshine, I took it off the rail and tried it on.
The shoulder seams finish halfway to my elbows making me look like a child trying on her mother's clothes.
The stiff fabric didn't yield as I wore it, making strange lumps and bumps appear as I moved and turned. I looked like a hunchback.
And the pattern. I love it, but don't have the 'neck' to wear it.
I've spent over £70 on buying this coat and getting it adjusted, but it was going to be wasted just sitting in my wardrobe.
So I gave it away. Hopefully to be sold to someone who fits it better and likes the pattern enough to wear it. Don't know what I'm doing, but doing it anyway... :huh:0 -
Out
5 empty boxes from under the bed (contained old phones, computer software that doesn't support the operating system we use).

I haven't done any decluttering this week, though the kids are keeping their bedrooms beautiful after nearly 3 months of decluttering and decorating them,so :T:T:T.
We went out tonight with inlaws. When they came back to our house to see the finished bedrooms,I gave them 2 items for FIL to take to tip soon.
