No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries in January 2015

Hello, I'd like to join in this year. I've just done a super declutter and am genuinely astounded by how many toiletries I've managed to hoard! Too many to list, really, so I'll post used and ins. I shouldn't need to buy any cosmetics or bath/shower/body goodies for a good long time, just day to days such as toothpaste and deodorant.
Good luck everyone0 -
There was a 20% off with free delivery on Look Fantastic the other day
I've heard great things about Aveda Damage Remedy, but I'd decided the only way I could justify buying it was on sale at some point - so this made sense! In my head! Amazingly there was another offer on, unbeknownst to me, so when I hit checkout Aveda Be Curly Style Prep was included for free.
I went through shampoos quite rapidly last year - possibly because my hair was the longest it had been for a while - but it's short again so may take me a while to get through the remains of my stash.
I always, always need medicated shampoo in stock just in case (my scalp bleeds sometimes) so it will never be 1-out-1-in.
It's my dastardly cream collection that has expanded (again) with Christmas gift giving.
UUs this week:
Relax Revive showergel
Nivea Aftersun - No, we haven't been on holiday! My OH got a dreadful rash on his chest and back, and the most soothing cream we had is this aloe vera aftersun.
I've hit pan on more makeup products (sadly one of my favourite discontinued blushers, although there's plenty around the edges for now), and I've got splutterers in my masks collection.0 -

I often buy a new product just to try it, and then find that it's not for me. I have lots of these sitting around making me feel guilty.
This year I'd like to stop doing that and stick as far as I can with what I know suits me.Dolly, thank you for the new thread:A
Wecome Catcherupper, I gain inspiration from the Frump to Fabbers too, like this one a lovely supportive bunch and always fun to be around:D
Happy New Year everyone.
Thank you ladies 4 mentionin this thread. Have bobbed over there 2 join in hope of finding some inspiration/motivation.
I also have ins from yesterday too, DD wanted to go into Boots yesterday when we were in town getting some things for DS's birthday, I saw a Nails Inc Micropedi with 3 full size Nails Inc polishes, it had no price on at all or on the shelf but did say the polishes were worth £34, I asked at the till and they said £17.50 so I snapped it up. The Micropedi is an Emjoi one and the 3 polishes are Uptown (a lovely pink), a plum colour and a gold with multi coloured glitter which I have forgotten the names of.
When I got home I checked online and the original price was £79.99 then down to half price, it was sold out online so I don't know why it has ended up at £17.50. In my defence I only really wanted the Micropedi not the polishes.
I love those kind of bargains. Thank you 4 starting new thread 2.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

So sorry 2 hear this SuiDreams. Am thinking of you. X
Ad 1st UU of 2015 yesterday.
Elemis Pro Collagen Marine Cream or PCMC as it is lovingly referred 2 by some of us HG product and desert island product! So yesterday I decanted 30ml from my 100 ml pot received at Christmas. Have also decided that at weekends I will use a different moisturiser 2 try & eek the PCMC out further. Have therefore started a small bottle of Elemis pro intense lotion (at least I think its called that).
Happy New Year everyone & hello 2 all newbies xxBack for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

QUOTE]so tempting when offers like this are on. I sometimes fill up online baskets then close the page.sometime the act of going through most of the motions helps.sometimes it doesn't :P

Despite being sorely tempted by the beauty reductions in M&S today, still no Ins
Have another UU to declare, one of the last from my December PP list.
See by Chloe EDP 50ml - WMBA, quite liked the smell of this one but will only get again once stash decreases and if its less than the £24.50 I paid for the gift set last year. By the prices this boxing day I don't think that will be happening!0 -
So sorry Suidreams, I hope your little one is as comfortable and happy as possible for the time that is left.
Welcome to all newbies. I do hope you will stay the course, we do gather a lot of newbies every year, it's a fun and supportive thread.
If you use things up do give an opinion as to 'would I buy again' (WIBA) - the thread is no unnecessary toiletries, and if someone needs to replace something, your tips may help them. It also helps you to be reflective and judge whether you really would buy something again, perhaps this is something you've bought out of habit and there really is better stuff 'out there' to replace it.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0 -
Sorry to hear about your dog Sui:-( I hope what precious time is left with your little friend is as comfortable as possible. The bond with our dogs is so strong, its very upsetting when they are very ill.
Been for a roam round the shops today and finally got the coat Ive been after in the right size, brought nothing in Boots and resisted a Rituals set for £12.50 in JL I really really wanted. oooh and I had 2 UU Lucura foot cream and a gingerbread man bath bomb.
Debt free and busy treating myself:)
No more toiletries/make up until I've used what I've got stashed since Jan 2011, graduated October 2012. Restocked Dec 13..damn those sales0
