but has anyone heard of outright scams like this before?
I very much doubt if the PPC would put its directors' liberty at risk for a scam which could so easiliy be blown out of the water, it is probably just a SNAFU.You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
All very 'odd'.
The address given for the ticket, is not private land and the only car park off said road may well be 'looked after' by euro car parks.
I reckon someone as being trying it on.0 -
Warden? No, a minimum-wage PPC twonk.What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

I would get back on to DVLA and state you do not regard this action as a resolution to your complaint.
They have randomly ghost ticketed the car, they have abused their data access in doing so and you want to know what action they are taking against the parking company.
State you require compensating for the breech of data protocol.
They have been known to send £90 cheques as an apology.
PS unless you have a letter from the parking company state to DVLA that the parking company have ignored DVLA and are not cancelling the ticket.I do Contracts, all day every day.0 -
An excellent wheeze from Mark, I would give the PPC a couple of weeks to apologise, if they have no done so by then go in hard. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0

I wonder how many drivers this "accident" happened to? Lots would just pay up not realising its a different mob.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

Also complain to the ICO. They are already investigating the DVLA, but the more complaints, the better.0
