Online Credit File Appplication - Experian

Well I applied for my statutory report on 31st December, it is now 5th January and still no sign of the code they are supposed to send me so that I can access my online account. Yes, I know it has been bank holidays and weekends in between but I would have thought they would have at least had this part of the process automated.

Funnily enough the last time I applied for my statutory report the same thing happened. I never received the code first time round and had to chase them up!

Didn't have this problem with Equifax or Callcredit as it was automatic online access...

Where is Experian James when you need him?

I'm sorry to hear that you've yet to receive your online Passkey, looking at the timeframes you've mentioned when ordering your online Credit Report you should expect to receive your Passkey tomorrow as this would allow up to five working days for the postage of the Passkey.

If you could please let me know by [EMAIL="uksocialsupport@experian.com"]email[/EMAIL] if you haven't received your PassKey by the end of this week by as I would be more than happy to chase up this for you, within your email if you could confirm your name/dob/full address including post code this would help be locate your details.

When you've received your Passkey and have taken a look through your Credit Report, if you have any issues or concerns you can [EMAIL="uksocialsupport@experian.com"]contact me[/EMAIL] and I would be happy to help you further.

Passkey still not here... I am tempted to wait and see how long it does take to arrive - if it ever does! Had exactly the same problem last time I ordered my credit report from Experian. I had to contact them and ask for the passkey that did not arrive. Extremely poor service.

Only a few days ago, I ordered my Experian report. I always untick the online access box and make them send me the hard copy, probably costs them more than £2 and takes just as long as it takes to get the passkey!

have to agree with the OP, just tried getting mine, got an error message saying my payment was made but there was a problem, so contact customer services with a ref number but Experian does not deal with £2 reports over the phone, so email or write :eek: emailed in and was told they had no record of payment and I had to send in proof I'd paid, no proof sent but next day got an email saying my request for the £2 ONLINE report was received and I just had to wait 5 DAYS for the key to be sent out :mad: if I knew I had to wait for the post anyway, I would have just request the report to be posted, very clear to me they are making it difficult to get these reports,which is totally wrong

Same here.

Ordered my Stat report a couple of times in the past from Experian and each time it took 7-10 days before I received the code.

I must also admit the first time I used the service the 'Online' description caught me out too.

It's a shame because James is a really helpful member of the board and can always be seen helping sort issues for people, meaning the great PR that he does for Experian is somewhat lessened by the much poorer service in regard to the £2 report - in comparison to the other two companies.

But, then I guess, those of us who know the £2 report is all you need are less likely to purchase the other 'value added benefits' Experian provide
