Emptied my coppers and 5p jar today, and rounding it down to the nearest pound, I took £14 to the bank - rest of the change remains in the jar for next time. Also returned an unwanted gift to John Lewis - £3. Now, busily digging through old clothes to see what can go to Cash 4 Clothes vs what can go to H&M for a £5 voucher
  • Just agreed to do a £25 mystery shop. I'm not a fan of the ol' mystery shopping, so it shows my dedication to the challenge!

    Well I'm pleased with myself.

£70 from small change savings jar
    £25 premium bond win
    £50 Christmas present money

Ok that was easy although I suppose I cheated a bit with my Christmas present money, but there isn't Anything I want at the moment so there soent seem much point in spending for the sake of it.

I've reached my target already, so I will just keep going and see if I can do a bit more.
  • Hi everyone, I haven't seem to have got much yet. I don't want to include anything until it reaches my account and I am not including actual savings towards groceries etc. I want to just include actual money. So have a few things on Ebay and plan on putting more on and also have been doing surveys etc but there is not much in those.

I am finding £5 a day quite hard.
    Barclaycard: £4,217.55/£5 = 0.11% | Tesco £3,810.55/£3,770.55 = 1.05%
    Total: £8,027.80/£5 = 100%/0.06%
    Mortgage £99,692/£51,652.33 51.8%
    Car Loan: £9,217.20/7,527.38 81.67%

  • Ok...my total is pretty rubbish so far but I'm working on it behind the scenes! Took my baby girl to get weighed this morning and she's grown out of a few clothes as well as my son growing out of a few clothes and shoes that gives me a good few bits to Ebay, have always sold well with kids clothes in the past, hopefully I can get listing today/tomorrow. Still plugging away at the surveys but they are a long game....:(

So far I had a saving of £1 on a multibuy at Tesco on Saturday and received a £1.37 off your next shop voucher which I used on Sunday when I needed to buy a card. An extra bonus also at the till- I had put a reduced box of cereal in my trolley and scanned (I do scan as you shop) and when I got to the checkout an alert came up for assistance, the assistant said the item had been further reduced but for some reason it wouldn't add to my shopping and she let me just have the item as it was no longer on stock listings! The item was £1.10 so I'm adding that to my total too.

    Total so far £3.47/£310
    Make £10 a day January Challenge £313.70/£310
    Make £10 a day February Challenge £178.62/£280

  • £3 received from Pinecone which takes me to £202.42. :)
  • Well I've just received a notification of payment from Bubblews. It is for around £30 and was originally meant to be for way more than that but I'm quite surprised that this payment has actually come through. Will wait for it to clear fully before I add it to my total. We will see if the next payment comes through or if they reduce that one too.
Thank you to everyone who posts on here :)
  • Accepted a second mystery shop for £15.

So far I'm up to £106 in total, but I've only actually seen £30 of this in my bank.
