Busy day again. We turned the horses out today because they'd been in for four days solid due to the rain. It hammered down all down and by lunchtime they were at the gate saying let us in! So DH was lovely and he brought them in, to save me getting wet he said awwww, then he re Hayed and fed them tonight whilst I did dishes :).
Trimmed a lovely pillar today, went very well and then I ruined the next one, arrgghh lol. Never mind tomorrow is another day :)
Looking forward to the weekend for a lie in :):)

I have spent this evening working our the income and expenses from December for a year. Very tight. :(
I've put everything I can think of in to it...pooh other than car insurance..forgot that!
Anyway....it boils down to I need to find more income, the expenses are already stripped right back.
Horses have been in lots again lately due to the weather, miserable!
I've also meal planned for next week, well first week in December, I'm going for £200 a month or £50 a week, but no more and if at all possible, less. :)
Still got no heating, can't afford the repairs. Limited hit water from immersion tank, and radiators which are oil filled in the living room, well one anyway, and my electric blanket :)
I have worked hard all week trying to make my business work, it's going ok need to sell something lol, but I'm increasing stock.
DH and DS working hard at their business and have now opened a website with shop, so very pleased at that :)
Anyway, bed time now and hopefully a mini lie in :)

December tomorrow, hope the rain eases. Horses are off the fields now till the drier weather.
Have now completed the rear set of seats for the set im working on just the fronts left :)
Trying to do what my diary title says and do some positive thinking:)
I've got to think about Christmas presents and food soon as we have not planned anything.
DH has hurt his back this afternoon so I've been making sure he does nothing, even though he was in pain he tried to come down the yard to help me tonight, but unwillingly left me to it when i said no way!
DH and I had a chat and we both think having no debt other than the mortgage wwith £5000 in the bank being added to would be lovely :)

I second that thought being lovely. One day!
Roll on drier weather so our ponies can lose some tension in the fields.

I'm on my mobile as the WiFi signal isn't working with the iPad. I've been thinking really hard and thinking a lot, no money equals misery - contracts equal misery, what to do? Well needless to say we are going back to me doing contracts. Cant say I am happy but atm I am happier about the money. Horses need rugs which is stressing me, I need to pay more to debts, horses need medication, fields will need fertilizer come the spring etc. etc. Keeping fingers crossed it works out:)
Monkey pony has an abcess I think so we have poulticed it. The two bigger ones are so bright from being in that I wont let DD ride them, she's agreed which must mean they are bad.
Rain here again tomorrow but I'm going to spend the week blitzing the house and then I will finish my set if seats:)

Well the whole of upstairs other ham DS room is clean and clutter free. Hall stairs and landing is clean and hall cupboards cleaned out, books sorted just need to wipe over paintwork. Kitchen food cupboards all cleaned out in not even going to admit how much was out of date. Coats and boots sorted and put away or put for washing so mainly just living room left. Then to tackle all the accounts, yuk!
So today also scrubbed monkey pony rear end which is well covered as he has diarrhoea often due to the cushings, nice job not! Thinking he has laminitis not an abscess, since I stopped the hay and gave him hi fi lite he is improving so fingers and toes crossed.
Busy day today for DH and DS in their business, didn't finish till 7pm.
Going out tomorrow with friends for a much needed bit of girl power:)

Still got accounts to do, but all downstairs cleaned well most of it. Cupboards cleaned and skirting boards painted. Christmas shopping started going this week with DH to get the rest.
Horses have been in so much it is getting us down and I'm sure it is getting them down as well.
Never mind Spring is round the corner :)

  • Do you have a walker/exerciser or can you lunge anywhere? I've been doing this with the ponies but when we move welose the use of the walker however I am sure I will find somewhere to lunge, hopefully.

I completely apologise for not replying, I didn't notice, sorry!
No we don't have a walker, my horse is petrified of them lol. We just have a m!nage and yard areas.
Lots of work this winter so far with the horses, exercising, mucking out and just general keeping on top of them. But Spring is in the air and a walk down the fields tonight pleasantly surprised us, they are dry enough to roll yay! So job for DH tomorrow :)
Contracts been running for a few months now, tiring and hard work as usual but it pays the bills.
Just lovely to have some nice dry weather for a change.
Been very good on the spending recently, only buying what we need even though I want to buy what I want, long may this new me continue :)
