Sorted out the Mobile Contracts today. Usually have top of the range phones on £40 a month contracts (x2 as the wife has one to!) but this time purchased the phone separately.
I was going to go with 3 or GiffGaff as they are only £11/£12 a month for what I want however Vodafone offered to change the contracts as of today (still got 4-5 months left on both) and got free 6 months NowTV/Spotify which we already use. Over all its cheaper to stay with voda.
Both based on 24th Month contract for comparison reasons however new contract is only 12 months
Old Deal for 2 phones:
Monthly Charge - £60 (we get discount through work)
Recycle phones - (£150)
Total = £1,290
New Deal for 2 Phones:
Phones - £198
Monthly Charge - £33
2 Months free - (£66)
24 Months NowTV - (£168) - We would buy this anyway, we both get 6 months each, assuming we can get the same for the next 12 months
Recycle Phones - (£40), rough guess
Total = £716
Saving £574 over the 24 Months0 -
Bonus pay day and my bank account is already empty as it goes to pay off debt,
£3,489.27 / £10,156.75 - 34.35% Paid
not as much as i had originally planned but we have treated ourselves to a little holiday, got a new bed, and a bit of a pocket money bonus to.
I only got paid part of my bonus this month but in June the rest will come in and 100% of that is assigned to debt0 -
You are doing very well. Over 30% and more to be shaved off with a nice bonus. I hope the holiday is somewhere nice..
Its nice to see your signature going down and down everytime I visit your diary.
MrCFSaving for that dream holiday0 -
