+1 for a separate thread. It can be annoying to receive emails only to check some random win that won't work for 99.9% of the rest of us.0

My vote if there is one lol would be to continue with the search wins on the main thread.
we've done it ever since i joined over 18 months ago and probably before that so why change now. I do go through the thread using every search win until i get one upto 2 or three times a day time permitting.
A separate thread would be ok but i do feel that the search sometimes breathes life into it when its been quiet for afew hours.
From what i've been told SB know about this thread and actually like the different aspects of the thread which covers all things swagbucks.0 -

That's only your opinion,
I have had lots of wins by just copying a search term from this thread!
Some work some don't!
Well we didn't ask people to stop posting, we just said there could be a separate thread. So you can find your inspiration there. Why it is difficult to stay on topic as what you are talking about not really what it was asked for? You and some others are acting like we are trying to ban search wins or something.
To me, go ahead and keep posting but at least just accept the fact that it is not as useful for everyone as you believe to be.Merlin139 wrote:Most search wins that are put on this thread are no more than 1 line of text. How that prevents people from finding useful info I have no idea.
When the last 15 posts are about search wins, really everything else get lost within the thread.ally.0 -

Not really, that's what the quote function is for!
Also, search wins are more useful to some than others perceive them to be! Just take a look at the US FB page if you need confirmation. Seems like it's 50/50- so just leave it how it is.Minimalist

Posting search wins is not useful. Its a sad state of affairs if people cannot come up with a random phrase or word without having to resort to 'inspiration' from this thread. For the xxxth time - it is COINCIDENCE if you get a search win by using the same phrase as someone else has.
For me, these are not 'useful posts' and certainly people who use the thanks button for said 'useful post' are not using the thanks system properly. If someone goes off and investigates a new swag code and then posts it - then *that* is useful and would deserve the thanks.
Despite the most obvious reason for not posting them (the alert emails), to the person who said its only one line of text, its not - its the whole signature and other metadata that take up room, you come back to the thread after a few hours and any good post is suddenly three pages back hidden among 80% unhelpful search wins and plenty of scrolling is required which frankly, if you had to choose - would you rather not have to keep doing?
I think another poster said that posting search wins reminds us all that they are still working and people are earning from them - again - I'd rather have a couple of posts discussing if it ever comes to pass that they are not working rather than 1000's reminding me that they are!
Obviously seems half and half here judging by the thanks applied to posts on each side of the argument - but I can't help thinking that streamlining this thread (and creating a separate thread for search wins so people can thank each other for their 'useful' posts) would only be helpful - especially to those who do not have as much time or use the forum email alerting mechanism.
I guess it comes down to what this forum/thread is actually trying to acheve
1) Posting genuine and useful information to enable us to earn more SB
2) to warn us of survey/site issues that might prevent us earning more swagbucks and give advice appropriately
3) General community to talk all things swagbucks
4) combination of above
and I guess the *OP* is the only one who should answer that question and we should then post appropriately based on the intention of the thread they created - and if that includes search wins then so be it.0
