unsure on haggling
I've haggled my phone contract before but usually to get the deal I want with the supplier I want. But this time they are the best deal.
I'm after a z2 ideally but had picked a z1 compact as the z2 was 35 and the z1 was 24. (All same allowance as I have now. 500 min unlimited text and 250mb)
Looked through my upgrade account page on orange and there offering the z2 on that tarrif at 20! With free phone.
So I'm unsure how I can barter a better position when I have nothing to threaten with. I.e. xyz offer this. Is it worth it? What extras can I hope to get?
Thanks for any replies

Always worth asking. A drop of £35 to £20 sounds a bit iffy to me. Are you sure its £20 for the full term and not something silly like £20 if 1 minute of calls and 2 texts a month and no data? or £300 for the handset
Treble check what they are offering and phone and ask is that the best they can do. I have 3 phones on my account so Voda are a little more flexible when i haggle.
eg.. I pay £14 for the £22 website deal.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Thank you. It was free but no stock after 4 days awaiting a reply. However I did get through to retentions with that and argued a £25 p/m then keeping my 10% loyalty discount and a z3 compact for £10. More than I wanted to pay at £19.99 but I'm happy with the discounts I got (that 25pm is actually the 34pm allowances)The will to save every money saving penny we can0
