Deliberate Blocking Of Road

No that's not the place! I looked on the Rambler's Assoc website and got some useful info re forcing the council to remove obstructions so I have written to them. Also a letter to the Chief Constable so I will wait to see what develops. There is no mystery here I am pretty sure that this farmer wants to have the road all to himself without paying to adopt it and make it a private road. Today vehicles and if he gets away with it, pedestrians will be blocked next.0

Are you suggesting that the council is proposing to sell a public road to a private individual.
That would make it very interesting, so why so coy about the location.0 -

My guess would be that the "lovely view" is probably a local dogging hotspot and the farmer's simply trying to prevent it's use as such. Which is probably why the police aren't all that interested in removing the obstruction.:rotfl:0 -
After your repeated letters to the chief constable and the police commisioner....
If you have the time to carry this through... I would then threaten the police, within your next letter.......that you will block the lane yourself (before his business) and when he calls the police to get you moved, you will point out to the police that you called them this morning to tell them to get the digger moved... so why did they ignore your phone call but as soon as he calls them they come running down and threatening you with a willful obstruction charge?0
