Tax runs out in 2 days but no reminder.

My tax runds out last day of the year, but still no reminder in my post box. Im sure its because of christmas and new year, but can I still go and buy a new tax disk?

Do you need to bring insur, mot and registration forms, or is it all digital nwadays?

If i remember you only need MOT and V5 to tax in post office now (hopefully someone can confirm)

You can do it online as well.

You won't get a tax disc though, they're now obsolete.

I believe you can only do it online if you have the reminder with the reference number on it.

You re-new on line although you should of had a reminder. You will need the registration doc to re-new. The MOT/Insurance is checked electronically during the process. You no longer get a tax disc btw.

    You don't!

[The vast majority of enforcement for tax and current insurance is done using technology......including ANPR at fixed sites, etc....]
No, I don't think all other drivers are idiots......but some are determined to change my mind.......

...and the reminder would have been through the letter box, probably during the first week of December....[mine was, anyway]

may seem a bit daft to as, but, is the address of the Registered Keeper up to date?

Use your V5 to tax it online. The insurance and MOT are checked online. You will get an email receipt of payment online which is your 'evidence' that you have bought tax as you no longer get a tax disc- the powers that be now scan number plates and run them through a database to check they are taxed.

I believe you can also use the ref number of the V5.

Have you been out of the country? Tax discs were made redundant in October - there was masses of publicity on TV and in the Press.
I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.
