My Sebrie - what are you on!!! Made me feel like a limp biscuit just reading
Bet you're popular lol.
Must admit it's one of the things I miss about retiring - one of my bosses used to buy us fresh doughnuts on a Friday.Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0 -

It is certainly making me stop and think before I spend or throw anything away now, I put some wilted celery beside the food bin to go out but kept looking at it and felt guiltykonMarie and fabbing all the way

Hi chums I have been having a nice day with my DGS Ben as its his 20th birthday today.
I am at DDs and he has chosen a chinese take-away for dinner tonight. The boys get to choose their dinner on their birthdays and take-aways are few and far between in this house so its a real treat for them.
I am not keen on chinese food so will have a chicken curry instead with rice which I will enjoy. The table is set and we are just waiting for Dd and my son-in-law to return with the food.
I just have to wrap a few presents when I get home later so not a lot of MMMing going on
Nothing else to buy for next week or so at least and so my puse is firmly zipped up.
Best news I had today was that my brother who has been poorly with leukaemia for the past few months is coming home from where he lives in France next year in February for a week Apparently his blood count is up and the hospital are pleased with his progress, so I am chuffed to bits atm as its been quite a worry.
Tomorrow I shall de-clutter another drawer in my kitchen and probably use up the rest of the head of celery to make some soup with, lollyfin you have inspired meas I want to use up as much as I can before I go away on Christmas Eve for just over a week.
The boys(DGS) break up on Friday at lunchtime so I will be busy with them for several days . The youngest Mikey likes to make gingerbread men so I will dig out my cutter from the cupboard
I also want to make some mince pies as I want to try the pastry made with Trex and butter for a change
Hope everyone is warm and dry
Cheers chums

Where is everybody??? Was it something I said?
:rotfl: and what GQ said (sorry my phone can't cope with multi-quote). Work has been horrendously busy for the last week or so. I'm off on holiday for the next 6 days and the day I go back we have an inspection (seriously 2 days before Christmas!) so have been going through all the paperwork to make sure it's up to date. Done now though
All christmas shopping is done and wrappedI'm heading away early tomorrow to spend some time with my family before christmas so better get my behind in gear and start packing!
Hello to lollyfin

I had my parental leave day today ( every Wednesday for 5 months) and have spent it doing minimal domestic chores, and a lot of parent-child fun this afternoon. Hm Pancakes for lunch (leftovers for breakfast tomorrow), kindergartners' playtime this afternoon in the village sports' hall. For just 2 euros children between 3 and 6 could have their faces painted, bounce on 5 bouncy castles, ride kiddy bikes and pedal cars, ride toy horses, etc.
Hm pancakes microwave really well.
